I agree with OP; a business degree is vital if you want corporate success, or aspire towards starting your own business. A business degree provides instruction in the areas of management, human resources, public relations, administration, finance and accounting, marketing strategies, interpersonal communication, etc, all of which are imperative for gaining employment and achieving success in the corporate world. The aforementioned skills and knowledge are necessary to establish and run a profitable venture. The stamp of a business degree is not just a bonus, but a prerequisite for many corporate positions, and even potential clients or associates will take you more seriously if you have a business degree. Furthermore, with the option of pursuing a business degree online from accredited, well rated colleges, you can reap all the benefits of a business degree without having to give up your job and without ignoring familial responsibilities.

As a self taught and successful business man, my experiences with accredited MBA's has been pretty mixed. Some of the couldn't run a toilet block!
You need more than a degree to be successful in business. smile
