From my "singe direction flowing cycle pushing all life in the same direction through a learning and unlearning cycle time and time again" perspective I can not find any place where "human potential" is wasted. When seen holistically, every learning process, looking wasteful or not, is a step every human coming into understanding is required to make. During any human's multibillion incarnations we will all do what someone will call "a waste of human potential" without exception.
Are you bored? You asked the same question 4 months ago. Can you please get a life, join a debating club, write a hub, clean your house, take a walk, enjoy nature or something?
The last few days I have been putting foward discussion questions. Im both interested in a discussion and Im also trying to free myself from a creative stuckness.
Maybe this is a weak question to ask?
What are you doing responding Titia if this is a waste of time? A waste of your time?
The biggest waste of human potential is replying to any of your posts, I would think. It's not productive, and so a waste of human resources and potential. Especially when the same questions come up again and again.
I havent checked if I did ask this question but it "feels" longer than that since I offered a round of questions.
You needn't have responded. Learn self control and dont respond. Its easy.
I was participating in your discussion... I don't think I went off topic. Maybe you should re-read the question and my reply. And yeah, it's not easy to be open minded in a discussion.
The biggest waste of human potential is premature death by design, not allowing the human to achieve any potential at all. Wars, man-created famines, genocides of the born and unborn, unchecked diseases and intentional murders have claimed untold BILLIONS of lives throughout mankind's existence, thus robbing the world of a vast pool of potential. Not all those lives would have shown potential of world renown, but some would. How many Newtons, Einsteins, da Vincis and Shakespeares were never born, and never had the opportunity to show their potential? What advances COULD HAVE been? And what digressions might have occurred, also.
We have no way of knowing what advances we might be seeing had those lost lives been spared. The world may or may not be a better place, but we would certainly have inventions, literature, art and technology we lack at present. One thing is absolute certainty, the world would be a different place.

I have been on HubPages only for two months. I did not think that "Asking & Answering Questions" was a complicated matter. But I have come across a question that if you ask a question and then answer it with your own hub, it is "faking it". My understanding was...

Why are there so many questions here concerning Christian(or belief in God) vs Atheism? Is this the best platform for discussing these issues and are people really interested in the answers, or is religion vs non-religion just a controversial topic that will attract lots of debate and generate money...

Can you discuss the existence (or non-existence) of God without insulting someone? It appears to me that whenever someone discusses God or religion that it always results in an argument where a person's intelligence is put into question. Answers are usually voted up or down depending on the beliefs...

Why ask a controversial question of others whom you do not agree with?I'd like to know what the point of this is? Do you want to learn, cause arguments or claim persecution? There have been quite a few from a number of people, like this. I'm confused, particularly due to the responses of the...
