According to National Geographic, the largest hot desert in the world is the Sahara where temperatures can soar to 122 degrees.

      Deserts normally look so beautiful in photos, but I doubt I'd like to spend a day in one. Maybe next to an oasis where I can get a shade.

      I didn't know the Sahara can get so hot; I guess our summer highs of 110 degrees, in Texas is not so bad. The picture of the Oasis is beautiful, nice lens.

      My hometown set a record when the temperature reached 107 degrees( 7/7/2012)...this was a mere 16 degrees cooler than the Sahara desert which can get as hot as 122 degrees according to the National Geographic!Very interesting and educational lens, WriterJanis!
