Cool Ads | Levi Jeans From the 70s
Levi 70's TV ad milestones
I got my first pair of Levis in 1971. I remeber it because it was the last year we lived in Venezuela. I was 11 and I probably wore those Levis every single day.
I grew a bit and mom extended my Levis by sewing on colorful ribbons, inadvertently creating my first flower-power boot cut jeans
NASA was all about new frontiers and putting people on the moon, and I almost died from a skull fracture that year.
In a nutshell: it was epic.
Zappas Waka Jawaka
was the first LP i
later bought and I
highly recommend it.
Levi slim fit Trucker Jacket
Once I got my first Levis it was easy convincing Mom I needed a matching denim jacket. Today's slim fit trucker jacket by Levi looks exactly the same as the one I had.
It's the kind of youthful clothing that works on anyone. A denim jacket is a comfy outfit which can last a lifetime if you care for it properly.
A denim jacket is a five star item in my wardrobe collection!
Levi evolution TV commercial
Television technology in general was so-so with blurry images and background music that was always too loud, or went up and down, up and down. It somehow blended well with the freakout ads Levi gave us :). In retrospect, TV from that era was awesome.
A time of beginnings
Even though the 70's was a time of breaking old patterns, it was somehow civilized too, with something of innocent discovery and adventure about it. Everything was more..analog. Remeber, this was in a time before internet, cellphones, online porn and global warming awareness.
The PC and Apple didn't exist and when you took a pic with your Instamatic it took a week or two before you got the prints.

Levi Dacron Polyester is trippy!
Home from school as a teen I would watch Bugs Bunny on the tube, and ... during the breaks get hit by these vintage Levi commercials that were psychodelic, weird, and awesomely cool.. all of which made me an even bigger Levi fan!
Check out the The Stranger - a Levi TV ad from early 70's - the age of Dacron Polyester!

Late 70's Levi Brand TV Ad
Here's one from the late 70's which is trying to be a bit more "corporate" and brand oriented, but I am positive it must have been made by the same acidheads that did the rest of the ads.
