MAN...oh, MAN!

Updated on October 2, 2012

The Potential of MAN

MAN...YOU are such a talented soul who can be anything you want and do anything you desire. You are the smartest species on this planet unless YOU discover life in the outer space. YOU have given this human race lot of comforts and made life so much easy for all of us. It is 'cause of YOU that we are so civilized today. We can go to the Moon and discover our planets. We can travel the globe in a couple of days. We can talk to people all over the world. We can stay connected with them by seeing them virtually. Distance has no boundaries anymore, thanks to YOU.

We have achieved so much in this lifetime that any living being would be proud of YOU. However, along with the success we have also got a lot of sorrows and have had a fair share of losses. MAN is not perfect and will never be.

We have learnt from our mistakes and most of us have the awareness of not committing the same mistake twice. We have also had a fair share of diseases on this planet. When our Creator created us, we were pure but with the kind of race we all are running to out beat each other, we have brought in stress. Nothing comes for free and we got all the successes, but with a price. Along with the comfort and success of technology, we have brought in diseases, which come as a tag with stress. Thanks to stress accumulated over time, so many diseases have evolved that at times even the human doctor finds it difficult to diagnose. YOU have invented medicines, which help curb the disease but man has got addicted to these chemicals and cannot live without them. The side-effects of these medicines is countless and has resulted in another form of complaint by the body.

Each day is a task for all of us since YOU have made the motto, "Survival of the fittest." We get up each morning with a task and we try to do it in the best possible way. No doubt, that is good since MAN is not aimlessly roaming on earth but instead has a goal for that day. But, we have not stopped there; we aim to reach a target above the target of others. We try to push each other down and that creates Stress!

Man...oh, Man

MAN....oh, MAN you are such a powerful species and you are the smartest creature on this planet then, WHY are you trying to out smarten your fellow beings?

Why can't you learn to be happy amongst each others company? YOU are a social animal so, you will be happy only around man.

Things to ponder upon

Be happy amongst your species and enjoy your day at a good pace rather than sweating on it and then going huff and puff at the end of a day.

We are humans and not dancers or puppets who dance to the tune of the world. Pace yourself and be content for, we have this one LIFE and it can only be enjoyed amongst the company of others so, man let's enjoy it.

I am reminded of a beautiful song by The Killers called, Human. Enjoy!

4 thumbs up! I dig your humanitarian view points and perspectives that you loaded up here in your hub Ruchira,

The fact is humanity has been placed on a perpetual selfish cycle ever since us humans decided to claim anything as that of our own property, land, possession and all.

Hence the issues we have developed today, and even the very fact of the birth of technology and its ever so unbearable purpose to downsize everything around us, into mini and micro gadgets.

In reality none of us humans are built for such interactions, we're taught today to evade our true inner and outer connections with nature, and its only getting much worse.

I enjoyed this hub a great deal, thanks for sharing such real, and heart felt thoughts about our life here on earth and how humanity need to pretty much wake up!

      Voted up and awesome!

You've very interestingly presented the very common scenario of our lives. Everyone is suffering because of competition and rat race but there is no end to it. We all understand the root cause of the problem but still we are not willing to give up. It is certainly ridiculous.

We have become so narrow minded that even in the case of our children we usually deny to help a classmate of our child only to see one's own child to score better than the other. Sending a wrong message to one's own child for the future. Literally shameful.

Loved your article. Sharing and pinning too.

Your advice about pacing yourself in stead of doing a huff-puff at the end of the day is great advice. We will live longer by doing this for sure.

Taking time ourself to smell the flowers and marvel at natures magnificent art work makes us slow down a bit and relax,

Beautiful hub Ruchira my dear friend, So glad I read it, Voted up,sharing

yes we are not merely chimpanzees with a software upgrade but a totally new species.(whatever the evolutionists might say)maybe a chimp can look at a horse and recognize it as a horse but only a human can give the horse wings and make it symbolize so many diverse things.Only human beings can ask themselves the question "who am i?" and spend generations trying to answer it.Yes we have limitless potential and need to just use it properly.

      agree with you totally ruchira
