Laundry Organization

There may come a time when laundry will be something that needs to be attended to, at least if you'd like to go on a date or two while in college. These products are must have items to get the job done. They can then be stored away nicely till next time.

Bedside Storage

Since you may not have room for a bedside table or nightstand this hanging pocket caddy is the perfect option to keep all your necessities close at hand. Featuring 6 pockets you can store books, magazines, chap stick, tissue and more within arms reach. It does not take up space and yet is still sturdy and convenient.

Under the Bed Storage

Under the bed storage is so practical since you can organize items neatly without taking up any additional space in your dorm room. There are different styles and sizes depending on what you would like to store. Some examples of things that fit well include: photo albums, weights, books, clothes, shoes and more.

Organize your shoes

DORM SHOWER CADDY

This collapsible shower caddy is perfect for college students who share a bathroom in their dorm. It's a convenient way to transport items and doesn't take up a lot of space. It has a drainage hole on the bottom so you can bring it into the shower with without worry that items will become musty or moldy.

Ipod Speaker/Desk Organizer/Lamp

This is a really great product for dorm rooms because combined on a simple desk lamp you can have your speaker for your Ipod as well as storage compartments for your desktop items. A three-in-one is a great way to maximize space. This is available in multiple stylish colors.

Magnetic Wall Desk Organizer

This organizational whiteboard is great because it hangs on the wall and therefore takes up no space. It has strong magnets to attach the following included items: pencil cup, stapler, staple remover, tape dispenser, ruler, sticky note holder, 4 magnets and a marker. All items including the whiteboard are magnetic and can be moved or removed as desired.

Prepare meals in your dorm room

Stack a small microwave and refrigerator so you don't have to depend on the cafeteria for all your meals. Put the electric kettle on top of the microwave. Electric kettles are great because you can heat oatmeal, make tea or other instant hot drinks, and of course every poor starving college student's favorite- Ramen Noodles.

Stay cool with a compact fan

Dorm rooms are notorious for being stuffy and hot. Some don't even have air conditioning. You may not have a lot of floor space for a big fan but this compact clip on fan won't take up any space attached to your bed.

Leave your books at home

If you happen to enjoy reading then a Kindle is a fantastic space saving option. Instead of bringing and then continuing to buy more books that take up space, keep everything on one compact unit that you can take and enjoy anywhere.

I am always short of space, so I will try to use the tips as best as I can. If this doesn't work, I'll move out and find something bigger!

In our province, we sometimes call it boarding house. Some rooms have 2 double decks which makes 4 people to live inside a small room! Thank you for sharing!

Finding a roomate who is much cleaner and better organized than you is key, nearly identical to finding a spouse.
