Sex the best medicine

Updated on October 6, 2011

Sex was intended to strengthen the bond of loving friendship between man and woman therefore helping to create the foundation for a strong family structure. Like every things else we human being have a knack for causing a good thing to go bad, through our misuse and abuse.

There is a special magic that happens when two people fall in love. It is still very much I think, like the fairy tales; Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White and a few others, except there is no mention of the struggle that comes with falling in love. No different from other ventures in life. The magic really should be continued throughout the relationship with a bond that grows far above and beyond sex.

In our quest for instant gratification from our encounters we continue to minimize the value of sex equating it to pleasurable drink. Sex should be at the level where the relationship has already been established and both parties have agreed that they would like the relationship to grow to a level where only death should set them apart. Rather than allow for that strengthening we really break down ourselves by having casual sex. Sex should only come into the picture after a strong foundation is laid. The house in the picture is being from the solid foundation, then comes the windows etcetera to make it complete we should be no different sex if it is to be the best medicine.

The respect that sex deserves has been thrown out of the window, not in all cases of course, but the misuse is becoming more prevalent in our society. We can see all the diseases , the betrayal , the hurt that comes about from the misuse of sex would take on an individual topic of its own. We even sneek under the cover of love by pretending that we are in love with another.

The beauty on the other hand can be seen when a couple are truly in love and share great sex. The family from that relationship flouries. Today for instance, featured in the local news were a couple who celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, this is becoming quite unheard of in our modern soceity. The parents together with their eight offsprings were celebrating together . The fruits of love from the act of a cumination of two hearts, willing to undertake the parnership necessary to sustain the young lives brought forth from the sharing. Allowing the strong bond established with the best medicine available to man and woman.

In an established relationship, the sharing maybe your escape from all the problems that are encounted on a daily basis it provides strength, and long after the act is over the pleasant memories keep the excitement between the two as a burning flame of desire. Its is definitely the best medicine for mature adults since it brings a level of responsibility to each member of the party of two, male and female. For the protection of the love that is shared thus allowing it to florish to heights unimaginable.

The best medicence that relives us from the difficult days and provides the energy to tackle the boulders that we come accross daily. The best medicine that keeps a smile in our hearts and our faces.

This is an excellent hub with a wonderful outlook. Sadly, with many in society, to elevate sex to the place where it should be - within a strong and loving relationship, is often viewed as being old fashioned. The view that life is to be lived to the full, and this has to inlcude casual sex is seen as something normal that every youngster should be a part of or else there is something wrong with them - ie they are cold, or frigid or whatever other silly tag is placed on them. But these so called fast movers in life, don't see the the damamge that is being done not only, potentially, to their physical well-being, but their emotional life as well. Sex happens so often with some youngsters that it comes to mean nothing apart from, as you say like drink, a quick fix of pleasure - and they truly believe this is living! I don't think they realise just how empty this kind of 'living' can eventually leave them. The saddest part of all is that many don't recognise this at all.

It's a wonderful change to see such a loving couple celebrating 60 years of life together!

      Great hub + voted up!
