What not to buy a woman as a gift for Christmas or birthday

Updated on August 24, 2017

My top 5 of what not to buy a woman as a gift

Hi there gents and welcome to my lens, I thought it may be a good idea to put together a lens that helped you, of what not to buy a woman. As everywhere you look all you see is what you should get her, so if you want to enjoy your Christmas or her birthday this is for you and what not to buy your lovely lady. My first selection is on kitchen equipment, this includes everything in the kitchen, such as coffee makers blenders microwaves pots and pans dishes knives cookers absolutely anything, so all of these are most certainly a no no.

So why a no go on these sort of items? I shouldn't have to tell you, but house hold goods are things you both use. So if you got her some pots and pans as a gift at Christmas how do you think she would feel?, well how do you think you would feel if on Christmas morning you're sat up in bed opening up your gifts, and you opened one of them to find it to be a steam iron. Yea Merry Christmas!!

Cleaning the house

My next selection on what not to buy her is the good old cleaning equipment or the washing and ironing stuff, such as a vacuum cleaner an iron and that includes the ironing board washing machine, anything to do with cleaning the house. You would be surprised how many men buy these sort of things for their loved one, this included my dear old dad bless his sole. When I was about 10 he took me Christmas shopping and yep guess what he got my mum, he got her a steam iron.

Well Christmas morning came and she was all happy sipping on a glass of cherry and started opening up her gifts, and when it came to this heavy box she said I wonder what this could be. Well as soon as she tore the wrapping of she lost her smile, and take it from me she was not amused, and that's putting it politely.

keep fit

Ok then my next lot of what not to get her is the exercise equipment, if you got her an exercise bike or rowing machine any of these sort of things she might think you're trying to say something. It's funny but after Christmas you can often read lots of articles wear woman say that these sort of gifts are one of the worst they can get, so think twice.

Ok if on the other hand she asks for some keep fit equipment, then happy days you're on a winner.

CLOTHES

The next no no that a man should never ever buy a woman are clothes, why I here you ask. Well you're a fella and what the hell do you think you know about woman's fashion, all she will do is open it and say it’s lovely but I guarantee you, you will never see her were it. So if its clothes you’re thinking about then you will have to let her pick them.

Cheep perfume

In my final section of what not to get that lovely lady of yours I have picked that cheep bottle of perfume, you know what I'm talking about the stuff that costs a couple of dollars from one of those guys selling it out of a suitcase on the side walk. Yea it looks ok it's in a nice bottle, the trouble is it will smell more like a burnt tire than channel no 5, so if you are thinking of getting her perfume get your wallet out and get her the good stuff-

OK GENTS WATCH AND LERN,watch and lern

Think about it

So why are all these things a no go when it comes to buying your lovely lady a gift. Well I would say 95% of woman would say that they are things that you buy together, they are things for the house for cleaning cooking etc and to get a gift like one of the above is an insult and I have to agree. After seeing my mums reaction, so if you want to be around for next christmass think first.

Ok lads its time to be honest :)

Have you ever got your loved one any of my no no gifts. I will be honest I have in the past, and it was the cheep perfume from the guy in the street with the good old suitcase it cost me about two pounds, it was terrible stuff I think my girlfriend at that time used it to strip paint but I was young then, but I soon learned.

So what was your sadest gift you got your lady

If other we would love to know what it was? - Don't be shy, come on tell us.

COMPLETELY disagree. I love clothes, love working out (fitness stuff) and once even REQUESTED a specific vacuum for xmas. It depends on the woman!

Finally a post telling me what not to buy rather than the many shopping themed posts. A good original take on festive giving.

It´s about time that someone enlights these blokes! If someone would buy me for example an iron he would a) end up in the ER and b) he wouldnât have to worry what to buy me for next x-mas:)
