The Best Love Songs Ever

The world's best love songs were from the seventies, eighties and nineties. Russell Thompkins and The New Stylistics, performed Betcha By Godly Wow, one of the best love songs ever. This award winning song was performed along with a variety of love songs which surged from the stage of The Scottish Rite Theatre in Collingswood, New Jersey. Rick Coley, served as promoter along with the crew of Now That's Entertainment, proved once again the alluring value of #beautiful love songs.

This show was filled with genuine vocals, #music and comedy. This old school show was hosted by comedian Rachmaun. For this musical novelty of entertainment, the evening began with Kevin Goldvoice Williams. He masterfully played his guitar and performed, When A Woman Loves A Man. Next a group which was new to the circuit called Dae Ja Blu did a novice rendition of Earth Wind and Fire's, Here I Am. After numerous other renditions this group used their stunning voices to support Sheila Coley, the "Songbird" as she performed The Perfect Man For Me. The band went on to perform #Beyonce's Crazy In Love. After a wardrobe change Sheila Coley, returned to feature a powerful rendition of Home, performed by numerous entertainers such as Stephanie Mills and #Diana Ross based on the dramatic play The Wiz. Next Darold Gellespie, who previously performed with the very talented group Harold's Melvin's Bluenotes, brilliantly performed the popular version of Teddy Pendergrass' Love TKO.

An Evening Filled With Wonderful Performances Starting with The Intruders

Another amazing #comedian during the evening was Keith Rock, who had lost about 85 pounds and was truly a new man. He promised as a comedian on the program, there would be,"no fat jokes." He was humbled because at the age of 56, Rock and his wife had just gave birth to a brand new baby. Truly this was a source of new material for a series of new jokes. Keith Rock, expressed the joy they felt for this new addition to their family. He then gave an introduction to the next amazing group which was The Intruders.

The Intruders are the creators of such major hits as Cowboy And Girls, When We Get Married and Me Tarzan You Jane. During a previous interview with members of this extremely talented group, The Intruders expressed how they idolized such singers as "Walter and Scotty, of The Whispers; who are legendary for soulful lyrics that captivated listeners." They were also inspired by the very talented Donnie Hathaway, who encouraged them to sing and had a major influence for the evolution of the Philadelphia sound. The Intruders worked diligently with Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, as their record producers. "This group established a vocal sound that was both theirs and uniquely the Philly sound" which eventually developed into Philadelphia International. Gamble and Huff acknowledged that their work with The Intruders, was the foundation of what they called, "#The Sound of Philadelphia." It is commendable to discover what a major contribution The Intruders have been and contiue to be steadfastly a source of outstanding music that has been exemplary over the years.

Current members of The Intruders, talked about how each singer within the group can sing lead which is unique. "Usually, you find someone to sing lead and then find background members but each of us can build a harmony," stated Bobby Starr. Each group member went on to give an austere performance based on their individual talents. They belted out powerful songs such as Luther Vandross' Still In love With You, sang by the powerful voice of Curtis Warren. Chills ran through the audience, as we reminisced about the great Luther Vandross, who is now deceased. Curtis, took us back as he explained, "I just love performing these type of songs." Moe, one of the other group members performed the song, I Wanna Know Your Name which caused the women in the audience to scream to the highest level. After a vestal demonstration of songs by each talented member, The Intruders sang such major hits as I'll Always Love My Mamma, Cowboys and Girls, When We Get Married, along with numerous other hits. Over the years members of The Intruders' musical group expressed, "how fortunate we have been to experience such outstanding music which consist of so many beautiful love songs that mirrored our lives in so many levels." This extremely talented group hit the stage and sang their hearts out.

The New Stylistics Did an Amazing Performance

The last group to appear on stage that evening was, the stellar old school group of Russell Thompkins and The New Stylistics. Russell explained how, "I have been fortunate enough over the years to work with such musical greats as Dexter Wansel and #Burt Bacharach. This compilation of talent along with others, brought beautiful music for us over the years." With a background of performing various types of music, The New Stylistics have created unforgettable songs that continue to captivate our hearts and minds. During an interview Russell Thompkins admitted, "Betcha By Golly Wow, is my favorite song to perform. I remember this because this is the way I feel about my wife," as he lovingly acknowledged her. He then went on to offer immeasurable advice to individuals in pursuit of a musical career. Russell advised them to, "Learn their craft. It is vital to read and play music. If you are a #vocalist, I would recommend that you also become a musician." Russell, started in the music business when he was about 18 or 19 years old. "I knew it was vital that whatever type of music I performed, I had to understand the business aspects of this industry and know my craft. New artist should also learn to appreciate and respect their fans. I often thank my fans during my performance for buying our records over the years because without them we would not have been successful."

Jonathan Buckson, one of the singers of The New Stylistics discussed the precision of the group by stating excitedly, "Music keeps going. I love performing and it has nothing to do with money. I enjoy what I do and I thank God for this opportunity. It is the group's traditions for style and stage presence. You have to stay in shape, although we are 60 plus. We perform with extra energy because we do what we love and love what we are doing." It is quite obvious that The New Stylistics along with Russell Thompkins and their explosive band, truly enjoy the major hits they have shared with their audiences over the years.

Beautiful Love Songs Ruled the Evening

This was a night of transcendent love songs strategically organized by Now That's Entertainment, promoted by Rick Coley and his crew. It was a memorable evening filled with beautiful music. These type of events allow audience members to experience the joys of pure happiness. Thanks to our Heavenly Father Jehovah, for the creation of humans that can perform music either by instrument or vocally. In a recent documentary entitled, 20 Feet From Stardom, Stevie Wonder a world renown artist, spoke enthusiastically about #musicians today, "In these times that we are living in right now, a lot of it is based on things that have nothing to do with music. But you know at the end of the day, it is up to you to perfect that gift that you have been given. Put your spirit into that #song and focus on the words that you are singing. Get into the experience of what you're singing about and sing your heart out." Rusell Thompkins and The New Stylistics, The Intruders, Darold Gellespie, Sheila Coley, Kevin Goldvoice Williams, De Ja Blu along with all the other performers sang their hearts out that evening.
