In 2016, Angelina Jolie and Jaden Smith were the latest celebrities to fall victim of the Internet Death Hoax. Both of their death hoaxes started with an article popping on the social site Facebook that claimed their death.

Angelina Jolie's death news turned out to be rumour when it was found that the article is similar to that of Jaden Smith.

According to the article, Smith committed suicide in late July 2016, but how can that be possible when Jaden Smith attended the World Premiere of his father's, Will Smith's, movie "Suicide Squad" on August 1, 2016. Was it just to promote the movie? Well, who knows? But it is possible that this is not the real reason, because many celebrities have fallen victim of this death hoax in the past.
