TGIF- we have pretty much heard of this term in our lives. If we stretch our eyes, we know and we can see that Friday is considered the best day of the week among masses. How bad we feel, or how desperate we feel, this day has the power to make our emotions go down the drain, and unleash our inner party animal. However, most of us are stay-at-home and love-the-home kind of people. We pretty much don’t like going out, even on Friday nights. So, we have streaming sites at our rescue and it’s never a dull moment with them by our sides. If you are one of those kinds, here is a list of ten films, you should definitely consider watching on a Friday night.
1. To All The Boys I Have Loved Before (2018)
This Noah Centineo and Lana Condor starrer film is a must watch if you are a romantic. The plot revolves around Lara Jean, a high school girl portrayed by Condor, who writes secretive letters to the boys she has a crush on, without them knowing. Exploring love, laughs and innocence, “To All The Boys I Have Loved Before”, was loved by audience of all ages. If you want to have a cozy night in and feel good about Love and Passion, this film is a must watch.
2. Love, Rosie (2014)
Just four years ago, we all fell in love with a film that made us believe in love all over again. And that film was none other than, “Love, Rosie”. Love, Rosie is a romantic comedy film that shows two friends fall in love, but getting separated by priorities, realizing that their love has no boundaries. The characters being played by Sam Claflin and Lily Collins, this movie should be on the top of your Friday night movie spree.
3. Paper Towns (2015)
The town was paper, but the memories were not. This movie will not only take you on a roller-coaster ride of emotions, but also make you see life from a new perspective. Based on the best-selling novel by the same name of, John Green, this film features adventure, romance, bravery and friendship, all in one.
4. The Art of Getting By (2011)
If you really want to live the mind of an Art student, this film is made for you. Freddie Highmore has beautifully pulled off his character, and we can’t do anything but appreciate. High school can be tough but, with the right direction, you can achieve your greatest goals. This is the main plot of this film. Also starring, Emma Roberts, this film is nothing but a beautiful masterpiece.
5. Everything, Everything (2017)
A real Nick Robinson fan would definitely know how special this film is. Revolving around a sick girl, portrayed by Amandla Stenberg, and living up to the true feelings of undiscovered love, this film is a genius combination of everything and just everything. However, if you don’t want to cry tears of joy, you should definitely skip this one.
6. Joy Ride (2001)
A little thrill does no harm, and if you are really into the Thriller or Mystery genre, “Joy Ride” is one of the best we have today. Starring, Steve Zahn and Paul Walker as two brothers, this film revolves around a damned road journey, and a psychopath behind radio. A spine-shaking film, Joy Ride is guaranteed to give you chills, and screams too.
7. Easy A (2010)
Easy A is a high school, Rom-Com film which stars Emma Stone as the main character. Filled with humor and emotion, Easy A rotates around, every day high school demands and how, teenagers succumb to that pressure. An eye opener and a funny movie, Easy A tops my favorite movies list atleast.
8. Friends With Benefits (2011)
We have all heard, Hey Soul Sister and fell in love with. Right? However, my soul fell in love with this cinematic best. “Friends With Benefits”, stars, Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis as the lead characters, who appear to be roommates. A candy soft film, it is guaranteed to make you feel good on all levels with its plot, music and storyline.
9. The Intern (2015)
What gets better with age? Vine? No. Robert De Niro, is what gets better with age and every film that he does. This 2015 blockbuster, stars Anne Hathaway, as the leading business tycoon in the industry and Robert De Niro as her intern. Exploring a beautiful professional as well as personal relation between the two, “The Intern” is a powerful yet glorious movie. Touching the issues of women empowerment, old-age employment and relationships, this film is the best choice to end your beautiful night.
10. Love & Other Drugs (2010)
Last, and definitely not the least. This film revolves around a couple exploring love and desire all at once. However, the girl being sick, testing the patience and passion of both, perfectly concludes the message of modern day love. And who others than, Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal could be a better choice to pull off this message.
