8. Jersey Shore
Jersey Shore (2009-2012)
This show is a little different from most regular teen dramas, but with all of its outrageousness, it's super fun to watch. Jersey Shore is a reality show that follows Italian-American "guidos" and "guidettes"—young, rich adults who have had cosmetic surgery and cruise around in expensive cars. The show follows them as they party and do crazy things. Jersey Shore got a lot of negative press for portraying such stereotypical Italian Americans, but it is still wildly popular.
In Heroes, ordinary people discover that they have supernatural powers. Over four seasons, the characters find out how their new-found powers affect their lives. Not the typical Gossip Girl-like show, Heroes does share a focus on young adults and romance. If you enjoy fantasy, this show might pique your interest.
