  • It’s got a well-rounded cast of characters that really play into the theme of ex rival gangsters now working together in a bakery. One of the characters always wears dark shades and likes to collect guns, but since the sole woman in the show doesn’t like it, he disguises them as kitchen tools.
  • While primarily a comedy series, Chocolat also has action scenes as the ex gangsters frequently have to deal with things or people from their past.
  • Japanese actress Nagasawa Masami turns in a great performance as the lead female in the series, and she is so committed to the role that she refused to get her voice dubbed, opting to learn how to say her lines instead.
