Debbie Reynolds: One of 60 Beautiful Actresses~60+ Years Old
Debbie Reynolds---Born Mary Frances Reynolds on April 1st, 1932 in El Paso, Texas, probably bounced into this world just a perky, and bursting with energy and looking beautiful as she does today.
Debbie started her career with MGM at the young age of 16 years old. With the help of her parents; Raymond and Maxine Reynolds. Her father registered her in a bathing suit contest and her mother redesigned an old bathing suit of hers for Debbie. And, she wore a pair of her siblings’ high heels. Debbie won the contest to the amazement and delight of all her family and her life’s career began on that day in 1948.
She is one of my favorite actresses as I have watched her many films on television with my sweet mother. And as I watch her old movies I can still feel my mother’s spirit near and I smile knowing I am never alone.
Debbie is still very active and has a great website that plays the song “Tammy” when you click on---there she is in a beautiful gown dressed like the lady she is and always has been in life and her career.
Only 5’2” tall nevertheless, she has a backbone of steel and with all that life has pitched her way she has caught the negative and thrown back with a positive ending. She has been up and down on life’s roller coaster.
Her first husband Eddie Fisher had an affair with Elizabeth Taylor, and later married her, leaving Debbie with two children to bring up alone. He left Debbie when Carrie was 18 months old and Todd was a baby. But Debbie rose above it to outshine her ex-husband in life and her career.
Debbie married Harry Karl in 1960, but a Fairy Tale marriage it was not. Her marriage to Harry Karl of 13 years ended on a sour note in 1973---when he almost ruin her financially---with gambling and bad investments.
Debbie married Richard Hamlett, a Real Estate Developer in 1984 which lasted until 1996 and after bad investments again with her money. Debbie had to file Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in July 1997 for her hotel in Las Vegas and again she rose above it.
But no one can keep this little Molly Brown down with her singing, acting and dancing circles around most performers today. You have the Best Wishes from all your fans---Go Debbie.
Dressed To Kill Tour
Cher proved once again she is not ready for retirement. All her fans were so excited about her “Dressed To Kill Tour” because Cher showed everyone that age is only a number as she sparkled and shined, while the rest of the world looked on in awe.
Cher's Star Shines and Shimmers
Cher's beauty has mesmerized us for four decades--- especially her extravagant costumes---barely covering her perfect body. And, to make her more irreplaceable is her exquisite voice that will echo in our memory's hard drive forever.
She is a singer, actress, writer, director, and producer and she is still going strong today---and is just as lovely as she was--- years ago.
Since the first time she appeared on TV with Sonny---Americans have been in love with Cher. She has millions of fans that still buy her movies and music around the world---today.
Cher has graced 53+ magazine covers and has won Academy, Emmy and Grammy Awards and the list is so long for additional awards. You will see them listed here: Click the Link Below:
Thanks Cher for the music that kept us moving with your beat---and the beat goes on---for many more years of our hearing pleasure.
Ann Margaret Olsson Smith
It is a great pleasure to honor these beautiful ladies whose multi-talents made our lives so much richer and enjoyable. Through the many years they have performed on stage, screen and television to our delight; giving up a vast amount of their time and life to entertain us with their acting, singing and dancing skills.
1.) Ann Margaret Olsson Smith was born April 28th 1941 in Stockholm. Soon afterwards at a very young age her parents, Anna and Gustav Olsson moved to Jämtland lam Sweden. She is a Swedish-American actress, dancer and singer.
Ann Margaret and her mother came to American in November 1946 to join her father who had preceded them to America in 1942. Mr. Olsson had to leave his family in Sweden to work in American for an Electrical Company, paving the way to make a great life for his family.
Mr. Olsson made a home for his family in the suburbs of Chicago. Ann Margaret's parents saw the artistic potential in her and enrolled her in a dancing school at the age of eight (8) years old.
Her parents were always empathetic and encouraged her from an early age throughout their lives.
George Burns discovered Ann Margaret when she and a group went to Las Vegas for a promised engagement which fell through. He auditioned her for his holiday show. And, they performed together dancing the soft-shoe.
And as they say in Hollywood the rest is history. With her 5'5" beautiful curvy body complemented by flamed red hair and lavender-blue eyes she had the world by the tail and everyone in it. She sang and danced her way into every male's heart in America. All the females young and older wanted to look like Ann Margaret.
Elvis Presley and Ann Margaret met while filming Viva Las Vegas. Together on the screen performance mesmerized the audience, as the screen sizzled with passion from their characters roles and from each personally.
When these two multi-talented souls met---their spirits soared into another time and space---to be joined together in that dancing-musical on the immortal plane where lives begin as soul-mates. But here on this earth it was not meant and this is sad when one's heart says: "yes" and someone else in control says: "no."
It's known around Hollywood that Colonel Parker broke up the close relationship of Ann Margaret and Elvis. Elvis became engaged to Priscilla Beaulieu and the Colonel did not want any gossip to ruin Elvis' Career. Elvis continue to attend all Ann Margaret's opening and sent her flower arrangements in the shape of a guitar.
They remained close friend for many years---and only they know if it was true love. Between a single, but engaged Elvis and a single Ann Margaret.
Ann Margaret later married Roger Smith in 1967. They celebrated fifty-one years of marriage as one of Hollywood greatest couples.

Jean E. Smart
12. Jean E. Smart----Born: September 13, 1951
Although Jean accumulated an excellent resume acting in Theatres and on Broadway most Americans know her as Charlene Frazier on “Designing Women” which debuted in 1986.
She is such a beautiful buxom blond that no one will forget Jean Smart as the silly, flighty Charlene. She was blessed many times for getting this part of a lifetime.
Jean had the privilege of acting with top stars such as Dixie Carter, Annie Potts, Delta Burke and Meshach Taylor. Jean met her husband---Richard Gilliland on the show---who played Ann Potts’ boyfriend for a few seasons.
(I could watch Designing Women all day if I could be still that long.)

24. Dame Julia Elizabeth Wells Andrews----DOB: October 1,1935
An English-born actress whose parents’ were performers in Vaudeville gave her singing lessons immediately after realizing her exquisite four-octave voice range that is a rare gift indeed.
My favorite Julie Andrews movie is The Sound of Music, I have worn out my video of it and now I need to purchase a DVD of it. It is the top of my list of favorites, and I miss it.
Julie Andrews is a very beautiful lady and she can perform with the greatest actors and actresses while shining just as brightly as they do. And, her dancing skills are untouchable as I can still see her and Dick Van Dyke dancing in Mary Poppins. Another great movie for children and adults. I played this over and over for my six nephews as they were growing up. The only time they were still for longer than an hour.
No one can touch her singing voice---it is straight from the Singing Angels in Heaven---and that is my adamant opinion.
When she was 20 years old she began her stage career and the rest is history. She has made our hearts sing for years on stage, screen and television. She will never know how many times she has soothed my restless sweet nephews with her beautiful voice. I thank you Julie Andrews for all the babysitting you did for this grateful Aunt Bobbi and it made me smile watching their sweet faces as you watched and listened to you.

48. Linda (Evanstad) Evans was born November 18th 1942 to professional dancer parents. Linda was very shy as a child and when in High School her parents persuaded Linda to take Drama in High School. The Drama class gave roots and a kick to her career in acting.
Her first guest role was on Bachelor Father starring John Forsythe in 1960. In 1980 through 1989 she would later co-star with John Forsythe in Dynasty as his wife Krystal. (Remember the perfume by the name Krystal? My mother loved it.)
She married John Derek an actor, director and photographer in 1968 to 1974. It seems John loved blondes and had met another blond who he was directing in one of his movies by the name of Mary Cathleen Collins better known today as Bo Derek after her first film.
Her second Husband was Stan Herman who was a real estate Multi-Millionaire. They married in 1976 until their divorce in 1981, however, they remained good friends.
Linda has only made about a dozen movies because her career has been mainly in Television. She was the beauty of the weekly series in Big Valley and 15 years later in Dynasty.
She is semi-retire today and enjoys a life of her choice as living a peaceful life at home or accepting small guest appearances on talk and cooking shows.
Whether you remember Linda as Audra riding her horse in The Big Valley with all her good- looking brothers, Heath (Lee Majors), Nick (Peter Breck) and Jarrod (Richard Long) and her lovely mother Victoria Barkley (Barbara Stanwyck) or see Krystal walking down the beautiful staircase in Dynasty or remembering famous fighting scene with Joan Collins in the pool.
But remember her you will---as the beautiful star who visits our homes now on reruns every day and who is a very nice person.

An Honorable Mention---Kim Novak
Kim Novak was born as Marilyn Pauline Novak on February 13th, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Blanche Novak.
Kim began her career in modeling teen fashions in a local department store. However, Kim wanted to venture out so she moved to Los Angeles. She still modeled part-time, but soon began her career in acting.
Kim’s first role was in 1954 with Jane Russell; however, she had only a bit part as an unaccredited model. Her career would not stop there as she obtained the role of Madge in Picnic opposite William Holden in 1955. Reported her salary as only $100.00 per week.
Her performance as the sexy Madge obtained her a Golden Globe Award as the “Most Promising Newcomer.”
The same year she played opposite Frank Sinatra. It seemed overnight that Kim was now a popular actress. That studio bosses vied for her attention to sign with them because she was a popular product.
She is best known for playing Madeline Elster/Judy Barton in Alfred Hitchcock’s movie “Vertigo” opposite James (Jimmy) Stewart.
Kim made 32 movies from 1954 through 1991 and then she retired. However, stating recently that she might be interested if something good came along.
An Honorable Mention--Maureen O'Hara
Maureen O’Hara ---born as Maureen FitzSimons on August 17, 1920 in Dublin Ireland. Her father Charles FitzSimons was a business man and her mother Marguerite was a stage actress and opera singer.
She is an Irish Film Actress and Singer. She made many films with John Ford and played in five films with her good friend John Wayne, Rio Grande, The Quiet Man, The Wings of Eagles, Mclintock and Big Jake.
Maureen was one of Hollywood’s most beautiful women with her fiery red hair and an on screen temper to match; she put a lot of fans in theatres to watch her perform from her first film until her last in 2000.
She took a 20 year rest from films to spend time with her family around 1970 and came back to make a film in 1991, “Only The Lonely” with John Candy.
From the Quiet Man with John Wayne to The Parent Trap she has played with the most powerful of leading stars from Tyrone Power to John Wayne.
She made 56 films and five television movies and various guest appearances. She first appeared on television as a guest on The Pat Boone Show in 1958.
She is 92 years old and has retired to Ireland. She has her daughter, Bronwyn and grandson Conor close to her. She is doing great for a 92-year-old.
Never--- will another actress ever walk, sing or dance in her shoes--- nor, brighten up a screen like she did with her Irish eyes and fiery red hair.
Your Fans love you Maureen O’Hara.
Anjelica Huston---A Tribute to a Great Actress Who’s Star Shines Brightly.
Anjelica (Anjel is her nickname) was born July 9th, 1951 in Santa Monica California to Enrica (Ricki) Soma a prima ballerina and John Huston an actor and director. She is a third generation of actors in her family who has won an Academy Award.
Her grandfather was Walter Huston who was a Canadian and very popular as a lead actor who worked at the beginning of the talkies through the 1940s. He died in 1950 more than a year before Anjelica was born.
She is an actress, director and producer and is the voice of several cartoons characters. Her talents exceed beyond the best actress into a place of her own. She has 78 titles to her name in movies and television and has filming scheduled for 2014.
Since she spent most of her childhood in Ireland and England with her mother and did not start her acting profession until later in the 1960s. She acted in some of her father’s movies and did not have a starring role until later.
A disaster brought her back to American when her mother Ricki was killed in an automobile accident at the age of 39. Ricki was only 19 years old when she married the 43 year old John Huston.
Anjelica was slender and tall at 5’ 10” and beautiful so she modeled for a while and after her modeling career ended in the 1980---she began her acting career. Her father cast her in her first significant role in Prizzi’s Honor with Jack Nicholson and she won her first Oscar for best supporting actress.
Anjelica and Jack had an ongoing and off relationship it seems until she married in 1992 and they remain friends to this day. My mother always wanted them to marry as they had the best chemistry together she said---and what a waste they didn’t. I have not seen Prizzi’s Honor, but it is on my list of “Need To.”
However, I did see my very favorite movie of hers title Buffalo Girls. She played the bristly Calamity Jane and her friend Dora (Melanie Griffith) had fun together---and best friends no matter what happened---they had each other's back.
Calamity loved Wild Bill Hickok (Sam Elliott) and who wouldn't love him—WOW! Calamity dressed as a man to get a job that paid a man’s wage and she fooled everyone with her outfit. Times were raw and hard in the west---and if you did not have a man to protect and care for you---that is why Calamity Jane was tough.
I loaned a friend my movie of Buffalo Girls years ago; and I did not get it back. So, I will need to buy this again---as I cannot remember everything in the sequence it occurred.
I will be watching for her new movies---she is a great actress and has many fans and I am one of them.
