7 Most Anticipated Superheroe Movies of 2017

Updated on January 23, 2017

7. The Lego Batman Movie (Feb. 10th)

After the success of The Lego Movie, this year we are getting a spin-off of probably the best and most entertaining character in the 2014 adventure: Batman. With Will Arnett and Zach Galifianakis reprising their roles as The Caped Crusader and The Clown Prince of Crime, the new addition to the crew is none other than Michael Cera, who is going to be voicing the Boy Wonder himself, Robin. Judging by the hilarious trailers we've had so far, we can pretty much assume that this will be another hit for the Lego Franchise.

6. Thor: Ragnarok (Nov. 3rd)

With the MCU building to Infinity War, and with the last two Thor movies being mediocre compared to its Marvel counterparts, Thor: Ragnarok looks to be that truly great Thor film we've being waiting for since we saw his shield back in Iron Man. Hulk is confirmed, and so is Doctor Strange, so we can expect some crossover goodness in the best looking Thor movie to date. Sadly, it's the only movie on this list that does not have a trailer yet, but we hope to see a teaser soon.

5. Wonder Woman (Jun. 2nd)

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice was a film everyone had an opinion on. It divided critics and fans, but there seemed to be one great thing about the movie that no one could deny: Wonder Woman. Gal Gadot surprised everyone with her perfomance as the Amazon and now with her solo film coming this summer, we are really excited to see our Diana Prince kick some ass. With Chris Pine casted as Steve Trevor, 'Wonder Woman' may be that one film to turn the DCEU's luck around.

4. Spider-Man: Homecoming (Jul. 7th)

He's home. Spider-Man is finally back with Marvel and now we can see him be part of the MCU, being played by an amazing young actor such as Tom Holland, and with Tony Stark as his mentor. Do I need to say anything more to get you hyped? Well, I will: The villian from this movie will be a brand new and exciting one we have yet to see portrayed on screen, The Vulture. And the best thing of all, he will be played by the birdman himself Michael Keaton. Nothing more to say. Just take my money.

3. Justice League (Nov. 17th)

Despite the fact that the DCEU didn't start the way all of us fans really hoped, no true comic book fan can say they are not excited about a Justice League movie. It's truly a dream come true for everyone who grew up with the animated TV show, seeing all of our favourite DC superheroes team up on the big screen. Judging by the tone of the trailer, it seems as WB listened to the backlash and the movie will be less dark and gritty. I don't know about you, but when I see the words 'Justice League', I'm sold.

2. Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2 (May 5th)

In 2014, Marvel surprised us all with one of the best comic book movies of all time, based on characters that weren't really that well known in the eyes of the casual viewers. With great perfomances from the whole cast, Guardians of The Galaxy won ours hearts, and they're set to do it again in this year's sequel brilliantly titled 'Volume 2'. We are guanranted to see Awesome Mixes, jokes, action, Baby Groot, Ego The Living Planet, and so much more! Now, can they do it again?

1. Logan (Mar. 3rd)

This movie looks so good. It simply looks so good. After the disaster that was 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' and the OK 'The Wolverine', this will be the third and final movie on the Wolverine trilogy. And not only that, this will be Hugh Jackman's last perfomance as Logan. And what a better way to go out than in a post-apocalyptic, Rated R, 'The Last of Us' like, 'Old Man Logan' homage that judging by the trailers, could be one of the best superheroe movies of recent memory.

Now what are YOU looking forward to the most?

Which of these superheroes movies are you most excited about in 2017?

I'm not sure about the rest, but I am looking forward to Wonder Woman. I used to watch that when I was young, so will be interesting to see what she's like in the 21st Century. Interesting hub!

Got to say I'm really looking forward to all of these, but the trailers for Logan look absolutely insane.

I've lost a little bit of faith in DC, but Suicide Squad was alright, so we'll see what happens with those.

Can I just say that the fact we're getting 7 superhero movies in one year is absolutely insane, even if slightly excessive. This never would've been the case six or seven years ago.
