Murder Party (2007)

On Halloween Eve in Brooklyn, an average Joe loser named Chris finds an invitation to a costume party. Arriving at the "party", Chris discovers he's fallen prey to the lethal trap set by deranged artists. As the night wears on, rivalries within the group flare up. A body count accrues, and Chris must take advantage of the ensuing chaos if he's to survive the night.

Sauna (2008)

As a 25-year war between Russia and Sweden concludes, two brothers who are part of an effort to outline new border accords become undone by their actions, and their mistreatment of a young woman during their journey.

Right at Your Door (2006)

After Lexi leaves home to visit Central LA, there's a terrorist attack involving chemical bombs. After the attack, her musician husband, Brad, fails to find her and reluctantly seals himself inside his house. He will have to deal with this decision in the days to come.

Julia's Eyes (2010)

The story of a woman who is slowly losing her sight whilst trying to investigate the mysterious death of her twin sister. After the death of the blind Sara, who hanged herself in the basement of her house, her twin sister Julia suspects that she was actually murdered.

Kidnapped (2010)

Jaime, his wife Marta and their teenage daughter Isa move to a dream house in Madrid and they plan a family dinner to celebrate. Out of the blue, three violent hooded thieves break in their house and hold the Marta and Isa hostage while their leader goes to the bank with Jaime to withdraw money from the family bank accounts in a tragic night of terror.

The Horde (2009)

A posse of crooked cops, malevolent gangsters and a horde of walking dead are the centre point of this gruesome, tight, action packed, claustrophobic tale of retribution and escape.

Excision (2012)

A disturbed and delusional high school student with aspirations of a career in medicine goes to extremes to earn the approval of her controlling mother.

      Oh God, beeing an IT guy myself I really loved Stu in What We Do In The Shadows. That movie has so many memorable scenes!

      Perhaps a bit heavier on jump scares and "scarier" in general, but really solid comedy/horror blend.

      I really loved them all, but I must admit, they are not for everyone. If I have to pick one I would say Murder Party. It's a great horror/dark comedy mix. If you are really into those kind of movies you are in for a treat!
