Hi - would anyone remember a song that had a lyric that went - "and he rides up and down the avenue. But he don't ride in no Cadillac. He's in his new white and shiny Rolls Royce". I had it on a compilation many years ago and can't find it anywhere. Thanks!

Great list of music, of course it's always personal. To me the first list is more funky than soul and Isaac Hayes should be better presented. And I wouldn't say that Celebrations of the Kool and the Gang is Soul or Rhythm and Blues, but Disco-Funk. That said, it's all cool music, and love it all. Great lens.

Interesting top personal top 100 soul numbers, I would have done it completely different, but that's the fun of making such a list.

It's a shame Squidoo does not have a Soul category as well as a Funk category!!!!
