I enjoyed this amazing movie. It is based on the book, The Freedom Writers Diary by Erin Gruwell. Hilary Swank took the role as Erin Gruwell in this movie. It is about a very persistent and dedicated teacher who fought to make a difference in inner city students and worked very hard to lead them on a better direction for their lives. Gruwell, who has succeeded with everything in her life, goes to the inner city of Los Angeles, to teach a group of at-risk teenagers. But they are not immediately open to her and she gets very frustrated. The students are also separated in racial groups in the classroom. Through giving them journals to share their heart and stories begins a very dynamic experience within the students.
