Momoiro Clover Z & Their Early Years (Late 2007-May 2008)

Before we get into the more interesting aspects of Japanese girl group Momoiro Clover Z, we need to describe what exactly is Momoiro Clover Z and why they are an important group. Not everything about this group will be discussed because there are so many names of band members, events, and other details that are too complicated for the average person to grasp.

The foundation for the group Momoiro Clover Z was started in late 2007. There is one very important date that stands out as being the official start of the group and that date is May 17, 2008. Therefore, if we use that date as a starting point, Momoiro Clover Z is now officially over 12 years old! The group was started by its management around the concept of “wa” which describes a peaceful and harmonious kind of musical style for the band’s early songs & costume styles. The original lineup at this early stage was:

Introduction to the Song Momoiro Punch & Reni Takagi's Loss of Leadership

Beginning July 2008 and lasting all the way through September of that year, the group started to hold events called “street live events” at Tokyo’s Yoyogi Park. The purpose for this group to do such things was because management wanted to teach these young girls the basic things that they should do in public such as doing dance lessons. At the end of 2008, the group’s first single Momoiro Punch was released. It was at this time that member Reni Takagi was asked to step down from the group’s leadership position and the reason that was given was that the group’s management felt that she was too serious of a person and this trait was not good for her development.

A Brief Look at the Career if Momoiro Clover Z: the Early Years

It would be starting in the summer of 2009 that the group would end up doing 104 concerts! The girls would end up sleeping in a minivan during this time. There is however going to be some confusion about the actual official release date for the group’s first single so that is why I will help to clear that up. The single’s original scheduled release date was going to be July 22nd but was instead released on August 5, 2009. The following month September 2009 saw the group hold an event for 5 consecutive days in Akihabara called Momoiro Clover Champion Carnival AKBA 5 Days. The letters AKB are the first three letters of the girl group AKB48 that was formed in that same area. In March 2010, the group signed a contract with the big Universal records and managed to put out their first major label single called “ Ikuze! Kaitou Shoujo. It was after the group’s first doing of this single that increased their fame among fans of these idol groups.

Momoiro Clover Z Does a Collaboration With a Cosmetics Company

Girl group Momoiro Clover Z collaborates with MAC, a cosmetics brand that will release some collaboration items at the end of the month which at the time of this writing was May 2019.

How Momoiro Clover Z Collaborates With MAC: the process

This is a rather interesting news story that has nothing to do with music but MAC will release a hint of color lip oil and dazzle shadow in the members’ four colors via their online shop by May 30, 2019. Then these will be available at their stores nationwide the following day. Those people that purchase more than one item will get a makeup card and those that spend over 3,500 yen (approximately $31.66 USD) will get an original pouch. The group released the trailer for their 5th album, and then they proceeded to release promotional videos for songs More We Do & Tamashii No Tabemono. Note: I first began researching about this group Momoiro Clover Z back in April 2019 so it has been just two months or so that I know about them but this is a fresh start for this writer with Momoiro Clover Z.

Momoiro Clover Z's More Recent Work

Girl group Momoiro Clover Z has just uploaded another new video and this one is for the song "More We Do! This promotional video was directed by Toshitaka Shinoda and this was part of the group's project to work with up-and-coming directors. I've been seeing several news updates about Momoiro Clover Z and there's a good chance that my subconscious mind has led me to notice stories about this girl group. So there you have it a brief look at girl group Momoiro Clover Z led by Kanako Momota.
