How a Gifted and Remarkable Talent was Discovered
I Was Her Songwriter/Producer
I want to tell you about a remarkable singing young lady. I’m a songwriter on a quest to get my songs recorded by anyone who has a voice that my songs are custom made for. So, in 1990 here in Chicago I decided to attend a pageant called “ Miss Chicago.” It was very nice and full of pretty young ladies of various nationalities. It was amazing to see all these pretty ladies compete for the top spot. There were pretty ladies sitting in the audience as well. I wondered, how much more attractive will the contestants be? But then again, the contestants will be showcasing their talent as well as anything else. I was there strictly to discover talent and ladies that could sing any of my songs.
" Miss Chicago 1991"
The perfect one just happened to be the winner. Yes, she was crowned “Miss Chicago 1991” Princenna Beane and as the pageant went on I had voted her in my mind as the winner!
She was very versatile. She had everything that deems a person to be a winner. The main thing I noticed was her intelligence, good looks and beautiful voice. Her voice had a very transcending range to it. It sounded like she had to use her entire range to appreciate singing a song.
An Exciting Meeting
I told the music director of the pageant that I wanted to meet and greet her. After it was all over. She finally came out. I wished I had flowers for her. Her family and friends all greeted and congratulated her on winning. I waited patiently about ten or fifteen minutes for it all to slow down and then I approached her and told her that I would be happy to write songs for her, with her, record her and promote my songs to other singing artists. She was excited about that. She told me that she had a management company behind her. I said that helps but they don’t write and produce hit songs. However, management is there to promote you better when you have original material, I explained. She agreed and we exchanged contact information.
It Was Time To Work
I was excited about working with her. I began writing songs for her the moment I returned home. I’ve always made a recording studio in the basement of homes that I’ve had. So, I there was a song (Last Chance) that I had already pinned that another lady recorded as an R&B track. It was very nice but I wanted to give this lady a more upbeat flavor of the same song. So, I changed the song to “House” by upping the tempo as demonstrated here. Now, the song was definitely made for dancing and having fun to although, it told a very good story about a relationship. By the way, all of my songs have a good story to them that anyone could relate to.

I Would Never Give Up On Her or My Songs
I told her that I would never give up on trying to help launch her singing career.I posted another song on the hub http://word55.hubpages.com/hub/Song-Tells-Why-You-Can-Call-Him-Honey . It’s been twenty years now since I have seen her and did some recording. I have no idea where she is. All I know is she was a remarkable talent. I hope she will discover that I have posted the songs that she sang of mine here and on youtube. I feel that the songs she recorded were ahead of our time by twenty something years. People are still dancing to this style of music: house, disco, pop and rock.
She’s an excellent performer as well. I saw her perform a second time at a Christmas party. She overwhelmed the attendees with her complete Santa Clause outfit. She was so, cute in it. She sang Christmas Carrolls that night. Anyway, I hope that some artist may find the songs that she demonstrated for me as appealing enough to want to have them professionally recorded so, this business is about “who you know.” If have a celebrity in the family or know someone in the music business that you can call up and say hey, I know a guy that has some hit songs then hook us up. I write everything including gospel. See me perform as well at songwriter.amplifiertv.com/channel

She Sang A Song Like She Experienced It
This song that I wrote along with co-partners and arranged for her was a catchy song that beginning artists usually record to get in the door of the music business. It was a danceable and fun song with a message that had truth and imagination to it. I used to like writing soap opera songs. I don't write them anymore but according to society people still live according to what my older writings depicted. So, there are many people that will relate greatly to my songs. A song doesn't always mean that the artist is expressing their own feelings either but like an actor or actress, can sing the part, so to speak. The artist can express what others may think, feel and experience. This is what Ms. Beane did. She sang exactly what I wanted her to sing and I was satisfied with it. She used her range to the absolute fullest and I'm glad that I gave her that opportunity. If she desires to sing today. I'd be here for her. She still deserves the break. There may be a couple more songs that I can dig up on her.

Listen To Her Sing "My Honey"
- Why He Should Be Called Your Honey (Song)
When you refer to someone as "honey" it should mean you seriously love or at least desire the person. Otherwise, it shouldn't be used as a figure of speech. Honey's too sweet. Honey's 4 the 1 u love.
