A Simple Song.

Updated on August 26, 2010

 Three notes

transcending

and two heartstrings

s   t   r  e   t   c   h   e  d

to almost breaking

over loves gift.

It is a song about

two who fall in love

but face a difference,

in this case age

that keeps them apart.

Society sets strict limits

about certain factors of love,

 and so we follow them,

and are left with only

brief memories and a

song that haunts me

even now.

very cool..my husband and I have a huge age difference but we dont let that get in our way. He is 14 years my junior and we have been married for almost 10 years..age is just a number. Nice poem.

Nice stab taken at "social construction" MFB III. We constantly need to be reminded that what is developed as "social norm" isn't necessarily what works in relationships but that adherence to norms can make us miss out on wonderful people and relationships.
