A proper tribute to former Japanese idol singer Aki Takajo is now necessary because this Japanese idol has now just gotten married! It is not the marriage itself that is significant because so many celebrities and people end up getting married. But it is the fact that Takajo for the longest time has been one of my favorite idols from any of the 48 associated groups. Takajo who spent 8 years as an idol singer between 2008 and 2016 is now entering a new chapter in her life. She spent time in two different idol groups and lived in two different countries (Japan & Indonesia).

As of February 15, 2019, Takajo has registered her marriage to professional soccer player Yuji Takahashi who plays for Sogan Tosu. Takajo who is 27 reported the news of her marriage via her SNS account saying that she intends to build a peaceful and cheerful family. Takajo also revealed that she is still immature but asked for fans to support her. That’s a very hard thing for most people to admit but I sure hope that Takajo leads a responsible life and goes on the correct path.

For Takahashi, he has family members in the area of show business. His sisters are former model and actress Maryjun Takahashi and model Yu Takahashi.

Aki Takajo Has Left Her Talent Agency & Worked as a Fashion Model
Takajo announced back in May 2016 that she was leaving her talent agency Watanabe Entertainment so that she could continue her activities as a “free agent” or to word it in entertainment terms a solo artist. Takajo expressed that in order for her to move forward with her life as a human being after leaving AKB48 she had to see the world and grow. She also took the time to thank Watanabe Entertainment for taking care of her and raising a novice like her. Takajo has worked as a fashion model for various magazines such as Big Comic Spirits. Note: as we end this tribute to one of the cutest Japanese idol singers, it would not be complete without saying that Takajo was also a member of the AKB48 sub-unit called French Kiss from 2010 through 2015.
