When I first started writing about Rena Matsui which was years ago, this article was a second photo gallery of this former pop music singer but now the article will serve as a tribute to her because she graduated from SKE48 almost 5 years ago. Rena Matsui was a member of the girl group SKE48 that is from Nagoya, Japan. Matsui who is from Aichi announced through Twitter that she would not be in attendance at the AKB48 General Senbatsu Election which took place on June 6, 2015 at the Fukuoka Yafuoku Dome. This was the 7th year that AKB48 held this election. So if you are interested in reading a biography of the singer Rena Matsui, this article will meet your needs. Still, this is not a predictably structured biography of her but it will discuss that she did not take part in the 2015 AKB48 General Election and it will also mention some more details about her acting work, and then you will see lots of very interesting facts about her.

What is the objective of this next part of the article about Rena Matsui?

So now that we have discussed how popular Rena Matsui was as well as some of her acting work, let us shift the focus to other aspects of her life and career so you can look at this next part as the third part of her biography. Note that this is different from discussing why she was such a vital member of the girl group SKE48. We will look at other aspects of her life that were not discussed in the first article about her.

And as part of looking at and analyzing other aspects of Matsui’s life and career, we will include some interesting things about the one and only Rena Matsui! However, before that let us describe her biography in more depth. Matsui was born on July 27, 1991 in Hyogo Prefecture. She has been a member of three idol groups in her career. These are AKB48, SKE48, and Nogizaka46.

Some Interesting Facts About Rena Matsui

  • Her hobbies including walking around in convenience stores and making pastries. I could say that her being able to make pastries should also be considered a special skill of hers.

  • Rena Matsui along with Jurina Matsui was referred to as WMatsui. These two girls were the “Centers” of SKE48.

What Was the Melonpan Alliance and What Was Rena Matsui's Role In the Group?

So now, in order to clear things up for readers and to discuss more about the biography of Rena Matsui, as we said earlier, she was basically the leader of what was called the Melonpan Alliance. This was an unofficial group of girls that love to eat melonpan. Melonpan is basically a type of sweet bread from Japan. This group had two specific goals in mind. The first of these goals was to eat the melonpan from Mount Fuji. The second goal of this group was to contribute to melonpan consumption activities in Japan. On July 1, 2013, this group of girls announced in Weekly Playboy Magazine that they were disbanding because of the graduation of member Aina Fukumoto.

Note that this leadership role that Rena Matsui had is different from bring a center for a single or a team captain for a certain team. Matsui’s role in this group as well as the role of these other girls had nothing to do with musical performance activities. This role that Matsui had contributed to the enjoyment of life with the country and community, a valuable asset for any person. Rena Matsui is not even 30 years old yet and she has accomplished so much which is what makes her more than just another former cute Japanese pop music singer.
