Zombie movies, shows, and books for your entertaining enjoyment!

Updated on April 14, 2014

I love Zombies

Zombie's, also known and referred to as: Zed, Geeks, Walkers, The Dead, The Living Dead, the undead, Cauldron-Born, Abominations, Rotters, Biters, Lurkers, Corpses, Skin Puppets, Flesh Dolls, Soulless Husks, The Undead, Horrors, Ghouls, Brain Biters, the Infected, Hollows, Rot-Walkers, Goons, Flesh-Eaters, Night-Walkers, Shuffling Horrors, Restless Dead.

They have many names, but they are all the same. They are re-animated corpses, usually from some sort of viral infection that causes them to rise up, prey, devour and eat the living. Some are slow, some are fast, all have little to zero intelligence, no discernible features or characteristics of the person they were when living, and one primary eat you. One bite, one scratch is sufficient enough to create mass infection, chaos, destruction and death.

Is it possible that we could have a zombie apocalypse? Probably not, and not in the way we see in the movies or literary masterpieces. It's more than likely the end of the world will come in the form of a natural disaster, plague, our own destruction and demise, or economic collapse. So, is there any logical reason to worry about zombies? Nope, there isn't much point in worrying about a zombie outbreak. However, zombies are fun! What would you do if your home town was suddenly overrun with the living dead? Where would you go? How would you survive? It's fun to ponder, and these works will make you think about that. I've been a fan of the living dead, and just about everything horror related since I was 12 years old. I've included a list of movies, books, and shows that have become some of my personal favorites for your reference and entertainment enjoyment! So if you are a fan of living dead, these are some works of art you certainly don't want to miss out on...

What I've listed will be considered to some a short list, and it is. This is by no means the entire compilation of films or books zombie related, and creative genius's are adding more daily. Many of these movies and stories have been re-made multiple times by different directors, re-written, etc...but this list will definitely get you started...

Thanks for the list, Bishop55. Up to now, I haven't investigated zombies very much, but your list of books and movies is a good way for me to start!

There is Alpha, check it out. lol it's pretty funny, thanks for your comment, thanks JG (meant to say that earlier). But another movie that's really funny is Dale & Tucker vs. Evil. Not zombie, but hilarious!

Interesting hub Bishop55. I've seen several of these for the most part. Was there really a movie called "Strippers vs Zombies"? That's funny. Voted up on your hub.

Thanks josters, I was tempted to go blabbering on, but it seemed unnecessary.

All good choices. You just can't beat a good zombie flick for gratuitous violence, humor, and a scenario that so many of us secretly dream of.
