A look at horror in cable vision land.

Updated on July 18, 2013

Horror T.V.

When all the cable network monsters go, what to do next.

I know many of you are familiar with The Walking Dead and possibly American Horror Story, but what happens when your favorite horror television show ends their season? Do you venture off into more mediocre viewing or do you try your best to "keep it horror"? If you have tried but found that The Munsters remake was awfully atrocious to the eyes and ears of mankind and it made you decide to just wait, well DON'T! There is plenty of horror related television shows available still. Are you familiar with "Todd & The Book of Pure Evil"? This show will appeal to the heavy metal fans and the most average of horror fan. The show itself is something like a sitcom, if you added the Necronomicon from The Evil Dead into the mix, then played some good metal music in the background. You have a story of love, heartbreak, sorrow, gore, pure evil, and Todd saving the world while enduring through it all with a sharp and witty "stoner" edge. Does this not fancy your fancy tickler? Then you might want to hurry on over to the horror sitcom "Holliston". This show is created by Adam Green and Joe Lynch and features many cameo performances from the likes of Danielle Harris, Kane Hodder, and Tony Todd. Did I mention that Adam and Joe work at a cable vision company making commercials for their boss, Dee Snider? Or, did I mention that Adam recieves his advice on living and love from the alien living in the closet? The alien is from the scumdog planet and is nothing more than Oderus Urungus from GWAR fame?

The moral of the story is that if you are a long standing fan of horror or a newcomer to the genre through the popular TV shows named above, do not give up!! Horror is here to stay, in the movies and on the television networks. I just want to keep my first article short and sweet so I do not already scare off any fans! If you look and search for what you love, you will find it. If you search long enough, you will find an undying love. Your relationship with horror is not over because of writer's striking, production company's putting a hold on things, or by just waiting for the season to return. What you are looking for is out there, somewhere, and it is also looking for you my friend. It is always looking for you. Looking into you as you stare into it.

I hope you have enjoyed my first article and I really hope that you keep tuned and come back for me! Until next time my fiends!
