Michaela Romanini - Before and After
Michaela Romanini - Before and After

Celebrities are obsessed with plastic surgery. In the ongoing struggle to look youthful and flawless, stars will do just about anything to become, and stay, picture-perfect. Sometimes, though, this backfires, and the results turn out less-than-desirable. Italian socialite Michaela Romanini is as famous in Italy as Paris Hilton is in the United States. Beginning at a young age, she began experimenting with plastic surgery and ended up with a lot more than she bargained for.

Michaela's Transformation

Once an attractive young woman, all the plastic surgery Romanini has had a drastic and excessive impact on her face. As you can see in the video above and photo composition below, her face has changed drastically since she started having plastic surgery.

Michaela's Addiction to Lip Injections

Michaela's favorite procedure was lip collagen injections. Eventually, the injections become like a drug to Romanini, who continued to have them until her lips morphed her into what looks like an alien creature.

The Sad Truth About Celebrity Plastic Surgery

Michaela is certainly not alone in her addiction. The sad truth is that more and more celebrities experiment with plastic surgery. It is beginning to become the norm in Hollywood. Some of the most well-known examples include both male and female stars. Michael Jackson's famously transformed himself into a fairer-skinned, thinner-nosed African American man through the use of plastic surgery and other techniques. Mickey Rourke had his nose and cheeks reconstructed, in part to repair damage from boxing injuries. Barry Manilow underwent a series of surgeries and procedures, including facelifts, Botox injections, and eyelid surgeries.

The beautiful Megan Fox looks like a completely different person in the above before and after photos. Once adorable,Lindsay Lohan delved into procedures including lip injections and Botox treatments, transforming her face. Courtney Love, Denise Richards, and Jessica Simpson have all expressed regrets over having undergone surgeries or other enhancing procedures.

Other celebrities undergo surgeries to increase their breast or butt size. Kim Kardashian underwent both procedures. Victoria Beckham had breast augmentation surgery to increase her size from a 34A to a 34DD, only to have the procedure reversed. "No torpedo bazookas. Gone," she told Vogue magazine in 2011.

Whoops! I didn't realize that the Megan Fox was not supposed to be a part of that composition. Still, however, that last pair of photos features Dannii Minogue on the left.

Why is it that there are so many failed plastic surgeries among Hollywood celebrities? They should have gone to South Korea for those surgeries. Botched jobs are super rare there.

I wonder if these people realize how ugly they are now, or do they have body dysmorphic disorder? (what Michael Jackson had).

She looks like a man in drag! Absolutely horrid looking. I suspect that many "famous" people are very empty and ugly on the inside and that's why the obsession with plastic surgery. Of course the old "cliché" of getting old is in there somewhere.
