All I could say when I was getting the 'SCOOP' or research on 'Mike', the first thought was "Good LORD", I know don't about y'all but WOW!. Okay, my feelings are like this; Men strippers are like...awkward to me, they just are But this movie seems to be changing my mind, but one time me and a lot of girls went to see some dancers, but that was before I was married.
. One time I went with the girls, to see the Chippendale Dancers and I thought it was all quite silly. I just rolled my eyes! But I wasn't drinking, the designated driver, but I guess all my friends, about 10 of them thought I wasn't having as much fun as they were, so here I was almost yawning, no, I take that back, the music was too loud to sleep, then all of a sudden I got a Lap Dance! Yes...little o' Me, I could of DIED!! My friends were laughing so hard, they brought the house down with all the screaming(along with my bugged out eyes and red face) then it it was over, the stripper dude gently...politely...took...the money that was sticking in my hair barrette! Unbeknownst to me, I had money on my head, which one of my wonderful friends put it there! To this day, they laugh about that.

Magic Mike is a cute movie that opens June the 29. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, which has directed these movies;

And one of the Producers is Channing Tatum.
The Men Of Magic Mike
I was trying to write enough on a subject of strippers, and I almost came up empty but when you think about it, One, its a comedy, two, I love dance movies, and 3...well, all I can say, its about time for some eye-candy to come our way, ladies. Why do all the men get to have all that and a bag of chips? But this time, the ruffles are in 6 packs....and you just cant have one.
I remember Channing Tatum in Step Up (2006) that was directed by Anne Fletcher, which I think is cool, Im all for girl power in the directing category, look at Hurt Locker(2008),directed by a woman, Kathryn Bigelow, awesome. And another little fact about the film Step Up, one of the producers was Adam Shankman, which if you watch So You Think You Can Dance, you will recognize him. I love that show on TV but they have had some really great dancers.
When I seen Channing Tatum dance, I had respect anyone that can have moves like that. I thought to myself, where does he get it?
Here are some facts about Channing Tatum
- He was born and raised in Cullman,Alabama,April 26,1980.
- At the age of six, he was then raised up near the bayous near the Mississippi River.
- Being very athletic, he played soccer, baseball, football. And here is when he started to really get flexible, like jumping backwards off of cars and stuff.he had martial arts in school, even go as far at practicing wuzuquan kung fu. Chee Kim Thong was his 10th dan Grandmaster.
- He had a Football scholarship, but dropped out of College.
- Tatum started working in a club and was stripping.
- He was on the street when a model talent scout noticed him and signed him up to do modeling.
- He married his co-star,Jenna Dewan-Tatum( she played Nora Clark in Step up) in 2009.
Channing Tatum signing autographs for fans.
The screenplay is by Reid Carolin, him and Tatum helped with the project,it is from Channing Tatum life's ordeal as a exotic dancer, he was only 19 years old.
The first preview of this movie came out in April and was met with good feedback. GeekScholars Movie News gave it a A-. They said that Tatum gave a FUN performance, and had plenty of depth. I had to chuckle when I read this...Depth? Well,okie-dokie,then.
Alex Pettyfer as the Kid
Joe Manganiello as Big Richie
Matt Bomer as Ken
Beastly(2011)He is cursed to be as ugly as his heart. And that person tells him that he wont find no one that will love him. He is doomed forever in that awful freakish situation.
And to I am Number Four(2011) is about a movie of a young man named John Smith. He is a runaway and there are enemies out to destroy him,but they can only kill him in numerical order. He has powers that he soon discovers and a bond with others like him who share his destiny.
Pettyfer as the Kid,Mike(Tatum) teaches him how to make money and to really party and the fine art of picking up women. Just being a protege like he is, he learns fast and also listens to the owner Dallas and the rest of the guys.
Joseph Michael "Joe" Manganiello . This True Blood star has a real BFA in acting from the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, gaining both praise and popular acknowledge being a werewolf.Only on HBO you can be all that and be sexy. He Won two 2011 Scream Awards, for Breakout Performance. Also won a Saturn Award for Best Guest Ensemble. And Entertainment weekly gave,by the readers, "Favorite Pop-Culture Werewolf of All Time.
Big Richie and for my kind readers, I had to ah...do some editing on that name,it had a four letter word in it. Very interesting.
Like Pettfer Matt Boner, also graduated from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama in 2000, he moved to New York City, New York, and worked on the small stage until he was cast in a small role, as Ian Kipling, on All My Children, a daytime soap-opera serial on the ABC. From 2001 to 2003, he played the role of Ben Reade on another daytime television soap,Guiding Light, on CBS.
I know him off Chuck and White Collar.
But in MM he plays Ken.
Matthew McConaughey as Dallas
It would be a mute point to list all his movies,so I thought I would write some things you may of not known.
His father once played football for the Green Bay Packers.
Is an avid fan of the Texas Longhorns and the Washington Redskins.
McConaughey's saying is "Just Keep Livin". His foundation is called j.k. livin foundation (all lower-case), which "is dedicated to helping teenage kids lead active lives and make healthy choices to become great men and women".
He got arrested, a couple of times, but I am trying to write positive things about Matthew here, plus one of the times,he got in trouble, he was naked and was playing the bongos. Two things here, I wish I was a fly on the wall...and who has BONGOS these days? I thought I was an old hippie.
He rescued all kinds animals stranded after the flooding of New Orleans from Hurricane Katrina. In 2006, in Sherman Oaks, California, he rescued a cat from two teens who had sprayed the animal in hairspray and were attempting to set it on fire.
