About Nanbaka

Nanbaka tells the story of four exceptional inmates who have escaped all the prisons they’ve been in so far. But now, all of them are in a prison with the highest security of them all—Nanba Prison! Though weird and unique in their own special ways, the four inmates—Juugo, Uno, Nico, and Rock—all have their own stories to tell. So now, that they’re all in Nanba prison, all hell is about to break loose! Or will really be the case? Well, not with Supervisor Hajime Sugoroku around! We’re talking about Nanba Prison after all—it’s the infamous most inescapable prison in the world!

So, I see you’re here! Well, that just means you loved Nanbaka so much with all its spontaneity and comical stance. But hey, it sure is really good and there’s more coming for you here! With the specialties of being quite random and really funny, here are the anime like Nanbaka!

Staz Charlie Blood is anything but an ordinary vampire. Yes, he’s powerful and peerless but, he has one peculiar obsession—the Japanese culture! Staz is an otaku! So, when a human girl from Japan named Fuyumi travels through a portal and into his domain, a bright opportunity rises for him.

There’s only one itty-bitty teensy bit of problem for Staz though—Fuyumi dies while wandering around the unfamiliar world. Caught in conflict, life was snuffed out of her and eventually turned into a ghost. But hey, who said the mighty opportunity is lost? Now, Staz wants to resurrect Fuyumi if it’s the last thing he does. Everything is to quell his otaku instincts and finally visit his dream destination—Japan!

Finding an exit from the game-like world of Mira—this has become Kon’s mission the moment he suddenly stepped into the unknown world. But despite the fact that he’s suddenly experiencing something totally novel, Kon begins to realize that his one-of-a-kind situation can turn into something that he will never forget in his life. After all, he’s in a game-like world and the people he has met so far are totally striking and memorable.

The people in Kon’s party includes a buff man who’s honorable and loyal, a cross-dressing man who’s good at guns, and a seemingly adult-like child princess who’s currently on the run. With personal goals coinciding with each others propaganda, the party will try to move forward passing through dangerous yet wacky voyages and finding ways to get to their final destinations.

Class is in session! But this time, the class will be under the watch of an out-of-this-world teacher. The teacher is non-other than the octopus-like creature—Koro-sensei!

Class 3-E of Kunigigaoka must be in shock to have a teacher such as Koro-sensei! Not only does Koro-sensei have a totally different appearance, he’s also a powerful being who just destroyed a chunk of the moon. Now, he has come to teach with a mission. He will teach the students of Class 3-E academics, values, and the art of assassination with the end-goal being him assassinated successfully by his students before graduation. If the students fail, then Koro-sensei will destroy the world!

Through the years, Hachimitsu Private School has always been a prestigious all-girls boarding school. But this year, policies have come to shift drastically! This year is the first time that boys will finally be accepted into the school. Only a few will be chosen though. And as of enrollment time, only five boys have managed to enter!

Meet Kiyoshi, Gakuto, Shingo, Andre, and Jo! They’re the very first male students of Hachimitsu Private School! For them, it’s a lucky thing to be able to enroll in the said school and be flocked by girls. But with a school that just abruptly transitioned from all-girls to co-ed, can they really be considered lucky? Especially after their failed attempt at peeking and their clash with the notorious Underground Student Council, luck seems to have run-out already for them! The only thing that awaits them now is—Prison School!

Inaba Hiroshi is half-human, half-animal chimera who excels as a detective who hunts down half-human, half-animal chimeras like himself. To boot, he’s got an awesome ability—the power to extract critical information from the hair strands he gets to taste. With his ability, it’s a piece of cake for him to sniff-out criminals and put an end to their crimes. However, there’s one villain who always seems to fool around and has a lot of silly encounters with him—Don Valentino!

Together with his assistants, Kei and Yuuta, Inaba has to live his mundane life whilst doing some detective work for the world. Especially when the pesky Don Valentino is at large, Inaba has no time for rest. Or does he actually have a lot of time to rest? Well, just leave everything to fate and everything will find its rightful way. With Detective Inaba and his crew around, baddies beware!

Cheating is an act that is totally frowned upon. But if you’re in a world where only academic success is the highlight of success, then anyone would cheat given the opportunity. If you graduate from school, you win life. If you don’t make it into school or get expelled, then you suffer a miserable life!

Given the circumstances, doing everything to get quality education and graduate are the highest priorities for everyone. As a result, schools and examination halls have become brutal battlefields. There exist two kinds of student: the scholarly Learning Type (L-Type) and the sneaky Cheating Type (C-Type). Whether the scenario calls for clash, cooperation, or neutrality, the L-Types and C-Types are in it to claim the grandeur of success for themselves!

Saitama is not just your ordinary hero! He’s a hero for fun! And to boot, he has something overwhelming power that no other hero or even villain possess. He has to power to knock anyone dead with just one punch. Yep, just one punch! That is why he is—the One Punch Man!

Saitama has a problem though. He’s bored! Well, if all it takes for him to defeat any villain is one punch, then he’s bound to suffer boredom and even some kind of complex. But then, it so happens that the world can still surprise him in endless ways! First of all, things are not looking well for him because he’s bald. Then, he has to pay rent and still do mundane tasks in his life. Lastly, he’s not even an official hero despite beating tons of baddies. Well, there goes Saitama! He may be super powerful as the Caped Baldy and One Punch Man but, life will still go on for him in ways he will never expect.

The demon lord is now a part-timer in a fast-food chain! Yes, you heard that right! The all-powerful demon Satan now serves in McRonald’s to bring smiles to customers everywhere! As to why this happened in the first place, the Hero Emilia is to blame!

Well, if only demon lord Satan wasn’t beaten and forced to retreat to the human world by the Hero Emilia, he would still be laughing on his throne right now. But then, things happened! So now, Satan is under the name “Sadao Maou” and is trying to make a living on Earth in order to survive without his powers. And he’s not even complaining! His new mission now is to climb the corporate ladder from the bottom until he is able to conquer the whole world.

It’s feudal Japan and swords have been prohibited by the Amanto alien race. Wait, what? If swords have been prohibited, then what of the Samaurai? And aliens?! What in the world is happening?!

Then, there’s Sakata Gintoki—a man who is true-and-true a samurai! Swords have been prohibited, but that doesn’t mean his life as a samurai ends. So, in order to meet ends, he works as a freelance getting all sorts of odd jobs and whatnot. But the thing is, everything’s just crazy! Aliens, monsters, ninja, people in costume, pirates, nerds, geeks—everything is scrambled! But who cares? Gintoki doesn’t! He’ll live his life the way he wants despite all the spontaneity.

At Fumizuki Academy, things are a bit different from any other school. The said school divides students categorically depending on grades, but with a twist! Reliant on grades, students get the class facilities they deserve—with Class A receiving the most and Class F the least. Combine all of this with a unique summoned beast battle system, Fumizuki Academy is truly a school like no other!

Enter Akihisa Yoshii—the most idiotic student of Fumizuki Academy! He is an idiot and he knows it, but he will never give up no matter what. Especially when a girl by the name of Mizuki Himeji accidentally ends up in Class F, Akihisa becomes determined to help her get out and go to the Class she deserves. Unexpectedly, this moment also becomes Class F’s earth-shattering comeback! And so, it’s time to show everyone that grades aren’t everything!
