About Noragami

Noragami is the story of lesser god named Yato and his misadventures in the human world. Unlike the other gods, he doesn’t have a wealth, fame, and a shrine of his own. And so, he works hard by being a delivery god who asks only 5 yen for every deed he makes.

One day, he is unnecessarily saved from a car accident by a school girl named Hiyori. This fateful event changes his and the girl’s life forever! Yato’s boring days have come to see a new light while Hiyori’s soul became a little bit loose. Thus, both of them starts helping one another in order to achieve their goals. Thereafter, a new shinki for Yato in the persona of Yukine joins the duo! As such, a new trio is born and the world is waiting for their new supernatural adventures!

In a world where supernatural creatures called “Youmu” dwells and subsists, coexistence stands on the fragile thread of balance. Most youmu are docile and harmless but, some develops abnormal and irrational behavior. As such, protectors known as “Spirit World Warriors” exists to stop aberrant youmu and maintain the balance of the world.

One day in school, a girl named Mirai Kuriyama—last surviving member of a blood-controlling clan—attempts to commit suicide. Fortunately, an odd boy who’s a half-human, half-youmu comes to prevent her from performing the deed. From that day on, an unlikely friendship is born! Joining the ranks of the Spirit World Warriors, the two of them along with some others fight in order to ensure long-lasting peace and harmony.

Staz Charlie Blood is not your ordinary vampire. He’s actually the vampire boss of the demon world! As if that’s not surprising enough, Staz is indeed powerful but he spends his time not as a demon lord but an otaku! Yes, he’s a lazy deadbeat who has left management of his domain to his underlings in order to pursue his obsessive otaku hobbies. That’s the kind of vampire and demon lord Staz is!

One day, an unexpected event happens! A Japanese girl makes an accidental visit to the demon world. Staz is overjoyed by the visit but, the girl dies soon after. Not passing the opportunity out, Staz lets the ghost of the girl join him so that they can go on a quest to revive her and ultimately go to the human world.

Ryuugamine Mikado is a high school boy who embodies the concepts of “average” and “ordinary.” All his life, he dreamt of living a life out of the normal. And so, the moment he steps into the city of Ikebukuro, he gets what he had wished for all his life!

Ikebukuro isn’t just an ordinary city! It’s a realm of chaos and supernatural phenomena. Color gangs, Russian hitmen, mysterious slashers, shrewd men, super-strong bartenders, and headless riders—these are but some of the things one could expect to see in Ikebukuro. And now, Mikado and his friends are about to get themselves caught by the supernatural grasp of the city!

The poor man turns out to be a god! As a reward, the god is offering his shrine home to her. And of course, Nanami accepts! What she doesn’t know is that—she’s gonna be the new god of the shrine! And as if that isn’t enough, Nanami now also has to deal with her new familiar—the fox-demon, Tomoe.

One time when she was young, Sakura Mamiya experienced something very supernatural. She doesn’t exactly remember but, she got lost in the woods behind her grandmother’s house. After emerging unscathed from the incident, she developed the uncanny power of sight—she can now see ghosts!

Moving on to the present, Sakura is now in high school! Since she has been seeing ghosts ever since the incident when she was a child, she never thought that she’d experience something even more uncanny! The desk right next to her suddenly has an occupant after being vacant all-year-round! The occupant is a boy named Rinne Rokudou, and he can also see ghosts…plus more!

Assiah is the realm of humans while Gehenna is the realm of demons. Under normal circumstances, no contact is possible between the two worlds. But, the demons have found a way to intrude Assiah; it’s through a method called—Possession!

In Assiah, a young man named Rin Okumura and his brother Yukio are about to get involved in something sinister. The fact is—both of them are the sons of Satan (the most powerful demon in Gehenna) and Rin has started to manifest his demon nature. As a result, the demons are on the move to catch Rin. But Rin is determined to fight until the end and survive! And so, he decides to become an exorcist—one who slays and banishes demons back to Gehenna!

New York City is no longer what it used to be. Now, it’s called Hellsalem’s Lot and it’s a place where humans and demonic creatures coexists. It’s all due to the fact that a dimensional gate opened years ago and formed an impenetrable bubble that trapped all the beings inside. And so, it has become a lawless and chaotic place where everyone is just trying to live as normal as they can to survive.

In the city, there’s an infamous organization called Libra—a group of eccentrics who are trying to maintain peace and order throughout Hellsalem’s Lot. Soon, a young boy named Leonardo Watch is about to join their ranks. With his rare power called the “All-Seeing Eyes of God,” Leonardo tries to live his life to the fullest and help Libra in making Hellsalem’s Lot a better place.

The mission of Shibusen is simple: raise meisters and weapons until the resonating souls gives birth to Death Scythes—ultimate weapons that can be wielded by Lord Death! Collect 99 evil being souls and 1 witch soul—these are the essential requirements in crafting a Death Scythe. And so, the classes begin!

Demon Lord Satan is in a very desperate situation. After being overwhelmed by the Hero Emilia, he and his right-hand general Alsiel are forced to escape into the human world. With no magic and their demon powers, both Satan and Alsiel must live like ordinary humans if they even want to survive.

And so, the Demon Lord Satan dons the name Sadao Maou and starts working in a fast-food joint! The same goes for Alsiel, who is now named Shirou Ashiya. Together, they shall work, live, and try to reach the highest ranks of the human world starting from zero! That is—if the other beings from the world they came from don’t try to interfere!

Kagome Higurashi is a 15-year-old girl who has an uncanny well within her family’s home grounds. One day, a surprising encounter with a demon pushed her back to the well only for her to end up in another world. As it turned out, she ended up in the ancient ages where a lot of supernatural things still exists.

Kagome is stunned! What is happening in the world? Where is she? And what is going on? There, she meets a half-dog, half-human being named Inuyasha who eventually becomes her partner. Together, they shall tread the ancient world in the hopes of reaching their respective goals while vanquishing evil from the world!
