Question: In the next day or so, a man will land on the moon. If a man from the moon landed in your hometown, what would you do to entertain him?

Ms. Philippines Answer: (Giggle) "Oh, just the same things I do. I think if he has been on the moon for so long, I think when he comes over he wants to change, I guess." (giggle again)

Sometimes, questions need to be answered with a sense of humor. Normally when you want someone to be entertained, you tend to do stuffs like singing or dancing in front of your visitor. Here, Ms. Gloria Diaz visualized the scenario, and answered like it was really happening. She had visualized that the man is on a suit and he may want to change first to feel comfortable.

Remember that on 1969, Neil Armstrong was the first man who landed on the moon just a day after the Miss Universe 1969 pageant.

Miss Universe 1973: Margarita "Margie" Moran of Philippines

Question: If you had one million dollars what would you do with it?

Ms. Philippines Answer: (Smile)"I would buy a big house where I can live...(pause) with other people of course."

When it comes to money, people tend to become self centered and think of their own benefit. However, Ms. Margarita Moran still think of other people which is selfless love. The judges and the audience surely felt that her answer is from the bottom of her heart. There is no one to deserve the crown but a lady with a genuine love for others.

Question: What is the essence of being a woman?

Ms. India answer: (Pause for 5 seconds)"Just being a woman is God's gift that all of us must appreciate. The origin of a child is a mother, and is a woman. She shows a man what sharing, caring and loving is all about. That is the essence of a woman."

She delivered her smart answer convincingly to the audience. At first, she paused for a long time but it just showed that she is thinking for a good answer. Nevertheless, all she said are what she knows and what she believes. That made her stunningly beautiful and smart in front of the judges.

Miss Universe 1997: Brook Lee of USA

Question: "If there would be no rules on your life in one day, and you could do something outrageous what would it be and why?"

Answer: "I would eat everything. You don't understand. I will eat everything twice."

A part of a beauty queen's training is to be fit and sexy. They maintain their slim body and even go for workout for a great body shape. It shows their discipline. Here, Ms. Brook Lee showed that it is really her desire to eat a lot but she can control herself.

Miss Universe 1999: Ms. Mpule Kwelagobe of Botswana

Question: "If miss universe would become pregnant during her reign, could she be allowed to continue as Miss Universe?"

Ms. Botswana Answer: "Personally I think miss universe is a symbol of a woman in prone to celibacy her femininity. And I believe that...Thank you... And I believe that if she got pregnant, you are not supposed to end the title. But, as a woman she should celebrate her femininity. Thank you."

Being pregnant as a Miss Universe is a big no. It is one ground for the reigning beauty queen to be disqualified. However, this brave woman stood up for what she believes.

As what a quote says, we should tend to look at the greener side of the grass. Here, she mentioned that being pregnant signals the start of being a woman which is being symbolized by the Miss Universe pageant.

Miss Universe 2002: Ms. Oxana Fedorova of Russia

Question: "What makes you blush?"

Ms. Russia Answer: "When I say the wrong things."

When you are on a pageant like Miss Universe you don't tend to give some hints of your negative sides. However, Ms. Oxana take a risk by being honest and true to herself and to the people watching. Thus, people did relate because teliing the wrong things made them also blush at some point of their lives. She answered shortly but surely.

Sadly, she was dethroned due to unfulfillment of her duties.

Miss Universe 2011: Ms. Leila Lopes of Angola

Question: "If you could change one of your physical characteristics, which one would it be and why?"

Answer: After a short pause " Thank God, I am very well satisfied with the way
God created me, and I would n't change a thing. I consider myself a woman
endowed with inner beauty. I have acquired many wonderful principles from my
family, and I plan to follow these through the rest of my life. And now I would
like to give all of you a piece of advice: Respect one another." (Time for answering is up)

We humans are naturally unsatisfied. Ms. Angola showed how contentment in life is essential in showing to other people your gratitude to the Creator and to her parents.

Miss Universe 2010: Ximena Navarette of Mexico

Question: In your opinion, what effect is unsupervised Internet use having on today’s youth?

Ms. Mexico Answer: Good Evening, Las Vegas. Well, I do believe that Internet is an indispensable, necessary tool for the present time. And we must be very careful and watch over what our children watch and see, our teenagers watch and see and we must be sure to teach them the values that we learn as a family. So that they may use Internet properly. Thank you.

For me she has a very simple answer but it really comes from her heart.

Miss Universe 2012: Olivia Culpo of USA

Question: What is something that you have done, that you will never do again?

Miss USA Answer: First I’d like to start off by saying that every experience, no matter what it is, good or bad, you’ll learn from it. That’s just life, but something I’ve done that I’ve probably regretted would be picking on my siblings growing up because you appreciate them so much more when you’re older, you get closer with your family. Everybody fights with their siblings, right?! But I don’t regret it.
