Archangel Michael Jackson Island Part 9

Updated on July 13, 2009

"Ok..." O'Connor tried hard to muffle a laugh at Ayanbadejo's lunatic expectation that the world would end in two days. "And exactly how is this fire going to consume the Earth?"

"Through our '2000 Watts' Nuclear Generator," The Mwinyi gestured out to the nuclear powerplant his verandah overlooked. "We named it after one of His Blessed Songs, but I can assure you that the output far exceeds a mere 2000 watts. In two days we will initiate a nuclear fusion reaction with molecular nitrogen. It is a gargantuan and incredibly difficult task which has cost billions of dollars and occupied our best scientists. The energy release will result in the temperature found in the center of giant stars, and it will be sufficient to spontaneously fuse hydrogen... thus causing the atmosphere and the oceans to become involved in the reaction. Therefore, the exothermic reaction with atmospheric oxygen and nitrogen which we trigger here will consume this planet with His fire and purify this world of sinners... in almost exactly 48 hours from now."

"You're insane!" O'Connor muttered in shock.

"Not at all. I am very sane. Sane enough to understand that humanity has turned its back on God. Humanity has become drunk on its own sins. Humanity has glorified sexuality, turning women into objects of nothing more than visual and sexual pleasure while denying their eternal value as mothers and wives and sisters. Humanity has engaged in an orgy of filthy and debasing debauchery, justifying each and every mortal sin because of a profoundly mistaken belief that humanity has evolved past requiring God. Humanity has come to believe that they are the masters of their destiny, completely disregarding the reality that everything is written in the word of God and that every leaf that drops from every tree does so exactly when and how it is intended to. Everything is indelibly and precisely fixed and preordained by God... and humanity has shown its blatant ignorance in turning their back on God. The Archangel came to offer humanity hope and light and love. He was widely derided by brutish humans when He was with us, as was Jesus Christ before Him. You asked if The Archangel was the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Yes, in a way, He was. He came to this world to show humanity The Way and now through His Blessings we are only two days away from joining Him forever. All of us, Mr. O'Connor. All of us."

O'Connor was completely stupified at Ayanbadejo's plan and he tried to look in his eyes to gauge whether it was just a bravado bluff, or if he really was going to try to pull this off. "What if I ruin your plan by not filing my report? Then all the people of the world won't ever know what hit them and they won't be 'prepared'?"

"Mr. O'Connor, your iComm device was 'cloned" when you were in the hospital," The Mwinyi said with his usual infuriating serenity. He indicated to a man sitting by a desk on the far side of the room leading to the verandah. The man pushed a button on a device. "And you have just sent that entire audio recording through your iComm number to your editor. Or at least, my technician over there has."

"You're never going to get away with this!" O'Connor screamed.

"I already have," The Mwinyi said as he waved two large men over to pick up O'Connor by the arms. "And I will spare you the anxiety of waiting for two days for your end. Your limeade was poisoned and you should be dead within the hour. I will see you in heaven, Mr. O'Connor. I will be sitting at the right hand of The Archangel and I will rejoice that by then your mind and the minds of all humanity will finally be open to the light and greatness of God through The Archangel Michael Jackson."

What prompted me to this is that I was thinking back to a few years ago when I followed a conversation claiming that Michael was the Second Coming. It all seemed to dovetail into an interesting Armageddon scenario! :)

Yes, I spend waaaaaaaaaaaay too much time at the PC. That is the main reason for my constantly expanding waistline. The fact I keep stuffing my face, I'm sure has SOMETHING to do with it! :)

I'm sorry, I skipped to the part where O'Conner is speaking with the holy minister of the Archangel Michael. I enjoyed the conversation between them, it's like an affirmation of every cult leader twisting the facts around to suit their message and purpose. What prompts you to write these things?

In another recent hub, you mentioned that you spend 10 hours a day behind the computer, I believe it, and I am encouraged to do the same. Unfortunately, I have to go to court to pay a cellphone ticket, so I'm blowing a few hours there. After that, the bookstore - that is worth my time :-)
