Reel or real?

The immergence of many reality shows always flooded our television programs. Twenty four/seven of reality TV. All housemates are doing tasks being given by Big Brother. How about “The Great Amazing Race”? You’ll travel around the world just to win the prize. “Fear Factor” will dare you to execute death-defying stunts or eat “something” you didn’t chew or swallow before. You can join the tribe in an isolated island just to get the price in “Survivor”. You can hone your singing skills in “Dream Academy.” Television programs in the USA have full of reality shows.

Reality shows on lifestyles and fashion are also being shown around the world. Even married couples have their own reality shows. It made a difference in daily TV viewing watching reality shows.

Top Reality Shows

Since the start of Big Brother reality show in The Netherlands in 1995, many producers from different countries adopted the franchise of the show. The house of Big Brother becomes the source of future artists in the entertainment world. The concept of giving tasks and eliminating the nominated housemates through votes being cast by the audience are plus factors for the show. Many imitated the style of this show.

The same producer and founder of Big Brother branched into music talent search through the Dream Academy.

The Great Amazing Race involves key parts of the world by putting the clue in famous cities of different countries. It’s really a great show.

Survivor series is also an interesting show. Tasks being given requires skills if you want to survive in the wilderness. Your tribe will not survive if you don’t have the guts to fight and live in an isolated island.

Fear Factor is for the adventurous people. Can you handle doing death-defying stunts just to win the prize? How about eating wiggly worms, be submerged in water and other daring stunts just to get the coveted title?

How about the Wrestling-Mania? Is it true that all the performers are hurt or just performing it for the show?

There are many reality shows that you can choose to view in fashion, lifestyle, health, cooking and other themes.

Commercial Value

Franchising is the in-thing in many reality shows. The concept and adoptability of the show makes it interesting to watch in many countries it is being shown.

Other reality shows continue to invade the programming of many television stations. This generation will not tire of these shows as long as it will amuse or inspire them.

      @thesailor: Yes. It's canned already. Meaning the show not only incorporate tha main actions but also their commercials or ad sponsors.
