Updated on January 11, 2015

Have you ever had the 'What the hell am I singing?!' moments when you magically understand the words of the song you've been obsessing over for the past week? I know I had a few times, so I prepared a small list for you guys of the songs that will get this reaction out of you too!

1# Valley of the Dolls by Marina and the Diamonds

From her album Electra Heart released on 27 April 2012. As always, Marina writes the songs with the weirdest, most unique lyrics, but I felt like this song was weirder than her usual tracks, and also was pretty hard to get out of my head. (Here's the chorus of the song and the video below!)

In the valley of the dolls, we sleep
Got a hole inside of me
Living with identities
That do not belong to me
In my life, I got this far
Now I’m ready for the last hoorah
Dying like a shooting star
In the valley

2# Girl With One Eye by Florence + the Machine

From their album Lungs released on 3 July 2009. Wow, this song way passed the category of weird and ended up at the top of the creepiest songs I've ever heard, and I can never get enough of it. It will scare you a little and you'll love it, and trust me it'll be a while for you to stop muttering the lyrics every once in a while. (Lyrics of the chorus and video below!)

I said, hey, girl with one eye
Get your filthy fingers out of my pie
I said, hey, girl with one eye
I'll cut your little heart out cause you made me cry

3# Serial Killer by Lana Del Rey

This an unreleased song and was leaked on 8 August 2012. One of the catchiest songs you'll ever hear by Lana, though the lyrics are way more weird than her usual ones, leaning slightly towards creepy which makes it an even more awesome song. (Part of the chorus and the video below!)

Baby, I'm a sociopath,
Sweet serial killer.
On the warpath,
'Cause I love you
Just a little too much.
I love you just
A little too much.

4# Dance Without You by Skylar Grey

This song was available on her website for free on 7 June 2011 and was just a teaser before her official single comes out back then. One word to describe this song? EPIC. The beat is so unique and remarkable that you'll find yourself beat-boxing non-stop for at least a month (you'll all know why when you check out the video below!) and also, the lyrics are crazy. Skylar was a total genius in this song and no one could ever deny it. (Here's a part of the lyrics for you guys!)

So insecure, so uptight
I break my neck, to be polite
I cannot take your whispering, your whispering

5# Walking On Air by Kerli

From her album Love Is Dead released on 8 July 2008. Pretty creepy, creepy, creepy song to be honest, but oh so catchy that I kept singing it every where I went for a while. The beat matches the song perfectly and the amount of times she said creepy in the song was surprisingly not that annoying at all. (Part of the lyrics below and a video of the song!)

With her little funny eyes of hazel
With her little funny old blue hat
She will go and set the world on fire
No one ever thought she could do that

6# Control by Garbage

From their album Not Your Kind of People released on 14 May 2012. The beat of this song is surely out of this world and the lyrics are just...outstanding! You'll be singing this song for a long, long while. (Part of the lyrics and the song below!)

I was trapped like a prisoner in my skin.
I was punished like an enemy for my sins.
I was blind,
I was caged,
And I was tricked,
And I was suffocating.
I was suffocating.

7# Settle Down by Kimbra

From her album Vows released on 29 August 2011. Okay, so first of all this song will get you clapping all around your room while you're doing a weird dance that only you are capable of. Yes, the beat is just that awesome, and I found the lyrics pretty fun too, but also pretty weird. (Part of lyrics and video below!)

I wanna raise a child
Won't you raise a child with me?
Raise a child
We'll call her Nebraska
Nebraska Jones
She'll have your nose
Just so you know

8# Please Don't Leave Me by P!nk

From her album Funhouse released on 24 October 2008. Da da da da da. Yup, this song is still stuck in my head like the first time I heard it. The lyrics will sound kinda uncomfortable if you concentrate enough, but overall the song is just fantastic and you'll never ever get enough of it. (Some of the lyrics and video below!)

I can be so mean when I wanna be,
I am capable of really anything,
I can cut you into pieces,
When my heart is broken.

9# Crying Lightning by Arctic Monkeys

From their album Humbug released on 19 August 2009. Man, this song is a must listen. The music is just indescribable and they way Alex sings the lyrics is just too sexy, everyone really needs to give this one a shot. (Some of the lyrics and video below!)

The next time that I caught my own reflection
It was on its way to meet you
Thinking of excuses to postpone
You never looked like yourself from the side
But your profile could not hide
The fact you knew I was approaching your throne

10# My Darling by Eminem

From his album Relapse released on 15 May 2009. No words. Never enough words to describe the perfection of this song. We all know that Eminem is a pure genius, but this song was a whole new level. The lyrics will be the craziest, creepiest lyrics you'll ever hear, listen to it now and you'll never regret it. (Some of the lyrics and video below!)

My Darling, I don't ever want you to leave me
My Darling, you and me were meant to be together
My Darling, And if I cannot have you, no one can, you're my
My Darling, cause I possess your soul, your mind, your heart and your body
