The Quiet Ones

I should preface this video with a little explanation. On our first day at the studio we performed our three songs which were going to be placed on the demo. I sang my heart out and shredded my throat to shit. We were supposed to lay down our individual tracks the next day and I woke up with minor laryngitis. I had to think quick. we had paid our money and waited months for our appointment, there was no delaying this.

So, I did the only thing I could think of. First I tried the lemon water. Made my throat feel better but It dried me out and I couldn't get my juices flowing. The next thing came off the top of my head. Ever notice how Mcdonald's (Not a fan) milkshakes make your mouth water? Even after you are finished it you will be coughing up phlegm and spitting like a champ for an hour. Why is that? Other milkshakes don't seem to have that effect on me. this another recipe secret from the golden arches we may not want to know about?

I shouldn't complain though because that X-large Vanilla bad boy got me through the first three songs and nearly through the one we added at the last minute. Since I was not taking very long, more because I knew I had very few takes in me, we had time for another song. So we added one that we were unsure about but was well received by our fans thus far.

The lyrics were written by our guitarist after the Columbine tragedy. The intro lyrics were written by Jon E Johnson, our number one fan and the music was a collaboration between Ken Conboy, Don Marshall and Ed Atlee. In this instance I was little more than a composer and while I love the song I was saddened by the off notes my battered throat occasionally pushed out. Still, I'll let you be the judge, hope you like it.

Turn up your volume!
