Batman rises again!

Updated on July 21, 2012

Batman rises again!

After waiting what seems forever the new Batman film, the Dark Knight rises was released here in the UK. I’d been waiting to see the film, waiting to see what would happen to our hero, would he be killed off or live to see another day? So I’ve far loved the last two, they have both been breath taking, awesome photography, amazing special effects and a brilliant story line. The acting has been second to none, Christian Bale is BATMAN, and beside who doesn’t like Michael Caine who plays Batman butler, Alfred. If you have loved, enjoyed the last 2 Batman films, you are in for a treat with the third.

Warning, comfortable seats

The only warning I must give you, when you book to see the third batman film, make sure you book the comfortable seats. We went to see the 9:15pm showing, we were going to see the later one, 10:45, but decided against it. We came out 3 hours and 15 minutes later and oh boy what a film Dark Knight is. It is as though they filmed all 3 together it seamlessly continued were the second had finished. The atmosphere was amazing, the cinema was full and batman delivered the goods, truly a must see film of 2012 super, amazing and breath taking action, amazing special effects without going over the top with things. Griping story line right to the end, makes me wonder how they keep you on the edge of your seat like they do, fantastic.

Last one!

Said to be the last and final batman of the Nolan series, but I wonder if it will be? Like so many films these days they leave clues to what could happen and the Dark Knight was no different. Could/will Batman be back in years to come or is it the end of our super hero once and for all. Is it the end of Christian Bale raine as Batman I guess only time will tell, but for now it may seem to be the last one for Batman?

I hate reviews when they spoil the film for you something I wouldn’t do. All I can say about the Dark knight rises is an absolutely awesome film. If you have loved the last 2 you will love this. I loved the film and didn’t want it to end. I could have watched it again and more than likely will. The film is long but it worth every penny. It doesn’t seem to be rushed, aiming to pack too much into the film and leaving out quality. The film is well put together the actors played impeccable parts, absolutely fantastic movie. 10 out of 10 for this, I personally couldn’t fault the film, everything seemed just right, everything you would expect from Batman and more.

If you have more than a few hours to spare this weekend and you are wondering what to do, pop into your local cinema and see a great film. Get a comfortable seat, big drink and pop corn, put your feet up and leave reality at home and watch Batman the Dark Knight.

Thank you viewing, take care and have fun this weekend.

Nice review Kev. I had been looking forward to seeing "The Dark Knight Rises" also. I finally was able to see it today. Very interesting storyline, and Tom Hardy was awesome as Bane. I'm planning on writing out my own review tomorrow. Voted up, tweeted, and shared.

Judging from your pic you're an older gent like myself. I'm a reader of 50 years and an ex-fanzine editor from the 60's. At our age I believe we welcome thick character development, while I find some of the younger reviewers were disappointed in wanting a bit more biff bam spectacle. Spectacle for me, as as I read you too, is beautiful camera composition. Like Star Wars, the biff bam was in the second installment, while the first flik was intro, and the final flik character resolution. All artfully achieved, with terrific acting throughout, and reincorporation from well to well laced with scarecrow threads. If you're interested in my own full review, please check

I loved the first one a lot when I first saw it. I honestly didn't expect another to be so good and an immediate decline would inevitably follow. But amazingly The Dark Knight was so incredible that I had faith in sequels again. But now, The Dark Knight Rises completes the Billion Dollar Trilogy, I am very excited to go and see this. I feel it is worth spending 2 + hours in a cinema with lots of noisy people, talking, crunching and walking around just to see this on the big screen. I may even splurge for iMax. Good review thanks!
