Battleship 2012 Movie Review

Updated on May 10, 2012

Battleship 2012 Movie Review.

When Nasa discovers a Earth like planet back in 2005 the US space agency decides to send signals to comunicate with the newly found planet for intelligent life. Then the story line unfolds with a troubled brother being taken care of by his sibling, who just happens to be in the Navy. When the sibling get his brother to enlist in the Navy to straighten his life out and find purpose. So now you have the basic story line of who is who and why they are where they are. I don't want to give to many details and ruin the movie but at the same time give my honest opinion of this film.

Ok now we fast forward to 2012 Naval games "RIMPAC" off the beautifull coast line of Hawaii. Durring the games there is some interesting things that happen, a rif between a forign ship commander and the brother who just cant stay out of trouble. The five hostile alien ships that arive. And we cant forget about the grumpy double amputee combat veteran that helps out.

There are some great action sceens but the film lacs dialog and could have been alot beter in my opinion. Its a entertaining film for some kick alien ass redneck style movie. The movie has some great 1980's music and great character cast. This movie will be good for some and realy bad for others.

The Grumpy double amputee combat veteran was my favorite character. The death of one of the Characters was pretty predictable, but it still felt bad. I enjoyed the movie for what it's worth.

I have to admit I saw the trailer on the TV and it looked a bit like Battle Los Angeles in the middle of the ocean. Think I will wait for the DVD on this one. Good hub voted up :)
