Beautiful Middle Eastern Women
Some of the most beautiful Arabic women in the world
The next stop on the tour is beautiful Arab women.
I know most of what we hear about the Arabic world is bad news, but since I'm trying to focus on the beauty in the world, lets look at some of these beauties.
The Middle East has a thriving entertainment community, though we have not seen a lot of cross-overs here in America.
The music goes from traditional to something very similar to "Top 40" here.
And Lebanon and Egypt both have a national cinema, with the Cairo International Film Festival making entertainment headlines since 1976.
So here are some of the singers, actresses and models from the Arabic world.
Multi-platinum Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram was born on May 16th, 1983 in Achrafieh, Beirut, Lebanon.
Nancy is the third best selling female artist in Lebanese history, the youngest Arab World Music Award winner to date, the first female sponsor and spokesperson of Coca-Cola in the Middle East, a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF and Nancy was described on the Oprah Winfrey Show as one of the most influential people in the Middle East.
And if Oprah says it you know it's true right?
Nancy released her first album, Mihtagalak, at the age of fifteen.
She followed that up with 2001's Sheel Oyounak Anni, Ya Salam (2003), Ah W Noss (2004), Ya Tabtab...Wa Dallaa (2006), Shakhbat Shakhabit (a children's album), Betfakkar Fi Eih?! (2008) anf 7 (2010).
Besides singing and doing commercial work, Nancy also does a lot of charity work, including running "Jam'iyet Nancy Ajram Al-Khayria" (Nancy Ajram's Charity Organization) in Beirut, Lebanon.

The absolutely stunning Haifa Wehbe was born on March 10th,1974 in Mahrouna, Lebanon.
Haifa is a singer, model and designer, and has been called the " Marilyn Monroe of the Arab World" (although right now everyone seems more concerned about her plastic surgery).
She won the title of Miss South Lebanon at the age of sixteen and went on to the Miss Lebanon competition. She won a minor title there, but had to relinquish it when the judges found out that she had been married.
This was a no-no and the judges disqualified her.
But that didn't slow her down any. She went on to appear in a music video by Syrian singer George Wassouf, and by 1996, she had appeared on the cover of over one hundred magazines.
Haifa has released four albums, Houwa El-Zaman, Baddi Eesh, Habibi Ana and a children's album, Baby Haifa.
In April 2010, Wehbe sang on French DJ David Vendetta's album Vendetta on the song Yama Layali (Many Nights).
She has also appeared in two films, Sea of Stars in 2008 and the Egyptian film, Dokkan Shehata in 2009.
On TV she appeared on the reality show Al wadi in 2005 and hosted Haifa Wal Noujoum in 2009.
Lebanese musician and entertainer Myriam Fares was born on May 3rd, 1983 in Kfar Shlil in Southern Lebanon.
Myriam started ballet at five, studied musicology for four years at the National Conservatory of Music and at the age of sixteen, won the Lebanese Song Festival.
Her first album, titled Myriam, was released in 2003. That was followed by Nadini in 2005 and Bet'oul Eih in 2008.
She also appeared in the 2009 film Silina as the main character.
Lebanese Arab singer Nawal Al Zoghbi was born on June 29, 1972 in Byblos, Lebanon.
She is one of the best-selling-female artists in Arabic music history, with a fan-base that spreads not only through the Arab world, but North America and Europe as well.
Her debut album was Wehyati Andak, released in 1992. She followed that up with twelve more albums and a bunch of music videos.
She released her latest album Ma'rafsh Leh in January 2011.
How good is she really?
Well since 1997, Nawal has won over fifty awards ranging from Best Female Singer in Lebanon in 1997 to Best Arabic Singer in 2007.
I couldn't find a whole lot on Lebanese singer Rola Saad, other than she grew up as an orphan.
She started out as a model and then she did a remake of the song “Yana Yana”with the famous classical singer Sabah that shot her into fame.
Rola released her first album Kel El Gharam in 2007, followed by Ala Da Lehal in 2008.
Her third album Al Foustan Al Abyad was released in 2009.
In 2008, Rola appeared in the Egyptian film Al Ghourfa 707.
Along with Wadih Abi Raad, Michael Fadel, Mary Mahfouth, Betty, Aida and Elissar, Rola was a teacher on the talent show Star Academy 1 in 2003 and as far as I can tell, she is still connected to the show.
A lot of singers start an acting career, but Maya Nasri is different. She was an actress, then moved into singing.
Maya was born August 14th 19?? in a small town in Northern Lebanon.
She joined the Lebanese University of Fine Arts and soon after began working in Lebanese series, theaters, plays, movies and became a fashion model.
Maya released two singles in 1999, Enta habib 3yone and Akher Hammi that didn't get much attention, but her 2001 album Akhbarak Eih? got noticed and was followed by three more albums, Law Kan Lak Alb (2003), Izzay The’rafni (2005) and Jayi Lwa't (2008).
Although she had appeared on TV series and as a presenter on TV, Maya hadn't acted in a movie until the Egyptian movie, Code 36 (2007).
She made two more movies, Kharej An elQanoun (2007) and Bamboozia (2009), both Egyptian films.
Maya has also appeared in two Egyptian TV series, Sultan elGharam (2007) and Wekalet Atiyya (2008).
In 2009 she appeared in the Syrian TV series, Rijal Alhasm.
In February 2010, she was married to Ehab Lamii.
Beautiful Lebanese model Celine Zaynoun (Celine Zeinoun) was born on July 6th, 1985 in Roumieh, Beirut, Lebanon.
Besides modeling, she likes swimming, skiing, basketball, football, mountain climbing, skating and music.
And why does this suddenly sound like the intro at a Miss America pageant?
Anyway, Celine also speaks English and Arabic.
Elissar Zakaria Khoury was born on October 27th, 1972 in Deir el Ahmar, Lebanon.
She is one of the most well-known female singers in the Arab world and one of the best selling female artists in the Middle East.
Elissa has been nicknamed the "Queen Of Romance" and the "Queen Of Feelings".
In 2005 she became the first Lebanese musician to win World Music Award and in 2006, she won for the most best selling albums in Middle East.
And while I pointed out earlier that Amal Hijazi had trouble with her, let me also point out that Elissa herself has gotten into it with not only Amal, but Haifa Wehbe and Nawal Al Zoghbi also.
Can't we all just get along?
Elissa has released six albums starting with 1999's Baddi Doub and thirteen music videos.
