Photo Galleries?

WTF? I spend hours on hubpages people. I'm talkin' hours to the point that pretty soon my kids will be calling me Dell. So will someone please explain to me why although I put my blood, sweat and literally tears into my work why someone else writes absolutely nothing except copies and pastes pics and I find this stuff siting between a recipe for oatmeal cookies and how to lose 30 lbs in 2 days. No really!

My new found sarcastic counterpart Talented_ink 's hub got me thinking about this. Hey I'm not knocking it or anything I just believe that there is a different site for this stuff. I don't just spend time here writing but I read lots and I believe I have found some of the greatest literary geniuses in the world right here on this site; or at-least the best up and comers including myself. Are we not (and I'm painting with a broad brush) here to craft our skill, to develop our writing voices and gain knowledge from others who are even greater than ourselves. To receive feedback from our peers and to be shot down by any idiot with a computer. The point is when I click submit, up pops a whole array of things that hubpages claims not to accept. And yes you keep it very low profile by not using certain words out-right, which is extremely clever of you actually, yet again I digress.

I guess i just wanna put this out there for the individuals who monitor hubpages and present this question to you: Are we able to find any relief from such Photo Galleries who take up front page space under the hubs or hubbers tabs?

Oh and thanks all you lovely ladies out there for your amazing photos, come on guys you know you wish you had caught a few of those beauties 40 to 50 years ago!

funny. I actually looked to see if it was something needing reporting.

As for your story, I'm still wondering, What?, but I've been off HubPages for a while.

I did read another article you wrote. bj

Thanks for the info, I'm new to the Hub and it really made me laugh! I have to admit I often wondered the same thing! After several Hubs, and no followers yet I wondered if there would be a silver lining unless I had dozens of photos on my site. ( I did go back and put pics on mine!) lol  Catch ya around!

Could you please publish more of these (I mean the pics)? I really get annoyed by all these wannabe-writers that feel they have to waiste HubPages with their ill attempts, preventing me from finding those artistic pearls, such as this wonderful gallery. ;)

Pen-n-pad to illustrate a point I would not normally bother with a title Beautiful, Busty etc but I look at my fans and people that I am a fan of and if here are comments made, then curiousity gets the better of me and I go to see what the hub is about. You probably wouldn't read my hub "How i lost 25kg's but it is a personal story that embodies the weight loss and health issues that I faced at the time. Good writing attracts good people. As someone said above, a snowball grows and slowly gathers its own momentum. I have often said; ignore the junk and it will die. hubpages is a form of nurture which grows slowly on its own and you gradually get to know who to be fans of and gradually develop your own fan clubs. I enjoyed your counterpoint and the girls.

I now will join your fan club!

I'm scared Just_Rodney, usually when someone says secret society they're either talking about the Klan or Mary Kay... But on the other hand anyone who wears a Santa hat as good as that couln't be peddling propaganda or facial cream, so I'll give it try.

      Thanks for stoppin' by.

Great hub here. Thanks for the counterpoint. Yes the scoring is not important but the reality and meaning of what we writers, at least some of us, try to achieve is what really counts at the end of the day. That is a way of truly expressing ourselves and releasing that inner fuel that drives us to create with words, and the occasional, apt photo for illustration.

Read my hub on the Secret Society.

Variety is the spice of life.

On hubpages like life we have a tendency to focus on the current mood or circumstances. I am guessing that you are frustrated by the slow pace of getting your hard work seen.

Just keep writing, you will get a following. If you focus only on getting on the hot list front page you will only be banging your head against the wall. (unless you pick an explosive topic.) Hubpages are like the Internet in general, it is a challenge to get your work found.

The only way to do it is stick with it and write lots of hubs, each one can add a couple more to your following. It is like a snowball, starts out very small and slowly grows.

Good luck, keep it up and remember, pictures no matter how nice only take a moment to see. Someone interested in exercising their brain will search for quality writing and will return when they find it.

And in the meantime eat healthy and go natural. :-)
