My Top 20 Favorite Comedy Films

1. There's Something About Mary: Ben Stiller and Cameron Diaz are hilarious in this R Rated comedy classic. Stiller is embarrassed as a young man and Mary (Cameron Diaz) sees it. Stiller has a 10 year crush on Mary but, when he reunites with her, he finds out many guys are wanting to go out with her. Certain scenes are literally raunchy but, at the same time they bring out some comedy at the same.

2. 40 Year Old Virgin: Steve Carrell at his best in this hilarious film that is all laughs from start to finish. The title says it all. This movie is funny but, also very raunchy at the same time. Carrell works at an electronics store and he is a virgin. In it, Seth Rogan co-stars in this film filled with constant laughs through out the entire movie.

3. Van Wilder: Ryan Reynolds shows in this film that raunchy can definitely be funny. This very nasty film and not recommended for children. Reynolds is a ten year college veteran who although smart, refuses to graduate. Wilder practically runs the college campus and he is famous campus wide. He is known for his parties and all the students come to him for advice.

4. Old School: Will Ferrell and Vince Vaughn make this R Rated comedy a classic. They start a fraternity on college grounds but, the only problem is that they are not enrolled in the school. There will be laughs from start to finish.

5. Funny People: Adam Sandler makes his funniest yet serious film ever. In this film, Adam Sandler is a movie star (George Simmons), who is diagnosed with a life threatening disease. It also stars Seth Rogan who plays a guy named Ira. He is a comedian who is just getting started in the industry. When George Simmons finds out he is dying, Ira becomes a friend and companion. This movie has jokes that are R rated.

6. The Hangover: What happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas. Raunchy all the way but, hilarious and it features a cameo appearance by former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson. The movie is hilarious.

7. Kingpin: Woody Harrelson and Randy Quaid take bowling to a whole new level in this hilarious movie. It's very silly as Randy Quaid is an Amish man conned by a hustler to playing bowling for cash.

8. Vacation: The first of Chevy Chases Vacation films is the best. The Griswalds take a road Trip full of hi jinx. They are going to Wally World to get on rides at an amusement park.

9. Mrs. Doubtfire: Robin Williams plays an old lady. Need I say more. He is a master at doing voices and dressing up and playing silly characters.

9. American Pie: This film is dirty but it is very funny. Jason Biggs is off the chain. Also, Stifler is a very funny addition to the crew. This film has spawned several sequels and spin offs.

10. Scary Movie: The Wayans brothers poke fun at horror films such as Scream. It's hilarious and it's produced several sequels.

11. Christmas Vacation: The second Vacation installment is nearly as good as the first.

12. American Pie 2: American pie 2 features the kids going to college but the dirty humor remains.

13. Scary Movie 2: This film continues to spoof horror films as did the first one.

14. My Cousin Vinny: New York attorneys find out the law works different down south.

15. American Wedding: The third pie film features a wedding but this wedding is complicated to say the least.

16. Austin Powers: Mike Myers plays several characters on this film that spoofs several films and adds it's on folleys.

17. Anchorman: Anchorman is about Will Ferrell being a 1970s anchorman and he is a man in a man's world. Christina Applegate is his co-anchor and love interest in this raunchy and outlandish comedy movie.

18. Animal House: John Belushi performs his greatest work before he passed in this dirty comedy film in a college atmosphere.

19. Napoleon Dynamite: Dynamite was a nerd and he did it his way. This movie is a must watch for fans of laughter.

20. Raising Arizona: This film featured Nicholas Cage in a comedy role that was his best. He was a crook but he married a cop.

      People love and hate these lists. I like them because it gives us a little insight into you as a person. Certainly, you skipped over many movies I might have chosen. Where do movies like Caddy Shack and MASH fall on your list? How about Clerks or Dogma? How about Women on the Verge of Nervous Breakdown? I voted up on the hub even though many these movies wouldn't be on my list.

      Wow, I can't believe I forgot Blues Brothers I'm ashamed. I've actually watched a Blues Brothers imitation live show at Universal Studios Orlando and it was great. No dan or John but it was still entertaining.
