Best Horror Movies Q1 January-April 2012

Among the best upcoming horror movies 2012 is The Devil Inside, which is to be released on January 6, 2012 in the US. This horror movie is about a woman in Italy, who gets involved in several illegal exorcisms in her mission to find out what happened to her mother, who purportedly killed 3 people during her own exorcism. The movie stars Fernanda Andrade, Evan Helmuth, and Simon Quarterman, and was written and directed by William Brent Bell.

Underworld Awakening which is among early 2012 horror movie releases is also an eagerly awaited horror movie 2012. Scheduled to be release on 20th January 2012, the movie is about war to eradicate vampire and Lycan clans after being discovered by human forces. A warrioress vampire; Selene fronts the battle against humans. The movie is written by J. Michael Straczynski alongside Allison Burnett, Kevin Grevioux and Len Wiseman, and directed by Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein.

We will include in January horrors: Beneath the Darkness (Friday, January 6), Don't Go in the Woods (Friday, January 13) and The Wicker Tree (Friday, January 27).

The Woman in Black is another upcoming horror movie from Susan Hill's novel and written by Jane Goldman. This horror movie is about a young lawyer Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe) who travels to a secluded village to organize a recently deceased client's papers. During this visit, he encounters the ghost of a scorned woman set on retribution mission. The movie stars Daniel Radcliffe, Ciaran Hinds and Janet McTeer and release date was February 3rd, 2012.

For February we must remember other good horror movies like: Kill List and The Innkeepers. March give us Playback and Silent House with release dates for Friday, March 9 2012 along with The Monitor and The Corridor (March 30th, 2012).

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters release date was first announced for 2 March 2012 and than moved to 11 January 2013 (USA). This upcoming horror movie 2013 is about two siblings Hansel and Gretel, who become a dreadful team of bounty hunters who track and kill witches all over the universe, 15 years after their harrowing gingerbread-house event. This horror movie is written by Tom Wirkola and Dante Harper, and directed by Tom Wirkola. It stars Jeremy Renner as Hansel, Gemma Arterton as Gretel and Peter Stormare.

Best Horror Movies 2012 Q2 April-June

Seven Below is also among the best upcoming horror movies with release date 17 April 2012. Written by Kevin Carraway and Lawrence Sara, this movie stars Luke Goss, Ving Rhames, Rebecca DaCosta and Val Kilmer. The movie is about two brothers and four strangers, who find themselves stranded in the midst of a thunderstorm after their shuttle bus crashes in the Sierra Mountains. The group is rescued by a mysterious man who takes them to his log house, where they encounter vengeful spirits and experience a repeat of history.

With release dates set for Friday, April 13 Detention and The Cabin in the Woods is the best horror movies for April 2012. From these two movies The Cabin in the Woods seems to be the best. Dark Shadows a gothic-horror movie which will be released on 11th May 2012 in USA. The movie focuses on the life of vampire Barnabas Collins and his confrontations with monsters, ware wolves, ghosts and witches. This movie is directed by Tim Burton and written by Dan Curtis and Seth Grahame-Smith. Johnny Depp of Pirates of the Caribbean, stars in this horror movie together with Eva Green and Michelle Pfeiffer. With little humour Dark Shadows is one of the best horror movies 2012 with very interesting story.

Other good scary movies for May 2012 are: Mother's Day, Asylum Blackout (May 4th, 2012), The Road (May 11th, 2012), Entrance and Lovely Molly (May 18th, 2012)

Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron and Noomi Rapace starts in Prometheus movie, which will be released on 8th June 2012. This horror movie is about a team of explorers who discover a hint to the origins of mankind on earth. They must fight a horrifying battle in the darkest corners of the world, to save the future of human race.

The list of June horror movies 2012 also include: Piranha 3DD (June 1st, 2012), The Tortured (June 15th, 2012), Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (June 22nd, 2012) and Storage 24 (June 29th, 2012).

Best Horror Movies 2012 Q3 July-September

For July we have The Pact an interesting horror movie who cast Caity Lotz, Casper Van Dien and Agnes Bruckner. Release date is set for July 6th, 2012 and the plot tell us the storu of a woman struggles to come to grips with her past in the wake of her mother's death.

There are few horror movies for summer 2012 and for August we must remember two movies The Possession (plot tell us the story of a girl who get an antique box, unaware that inside the collectible exist a malicious ancient spirit) and 7500 (plot follows a group of passengers who encounter what appears to be a supernatural force)

September 2012 comes with many horror movies and we want to remember here: Bait 3D (September 6th, 2012), [REC]3 Genesis (September 7th, 2012), Resident Evil: Retribution (September 14th, 2012) and House at the End of the Street (September 21st, 2012)

This movie follows the characters lives when still in college until the killer returns. Best Horror Movies Q4 October-December 2012

Almost all years Autumn months have the best horror movies of the year and among them October could be considered the best. In October 2012 we will see great horror movies like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D (October 5th, 2012), Sinister (October 5th, 2012), Paranormal Activity 4 (October 19th, 2012), Silent Hill: Revelation 3D (October 26th, 2012).

FrankenWeenie is an animation-horror movie which is to be released on October 5th 2012. When Sparky (young Victor's pet dog) gets hit by a car, Victor decides to bring him back to life through a way that only himself knows how. Sparky wakes up as a monster and causes terror in the neighborhood. Victor has to convince the neighbors and his parents that Sparky is still a good pet as before. This movie stars Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara and Martin Short and is directed by Tim Burton.

Silent Hill: Revelation is another upcoming horror movie, which stars Sean Bean, Malcolm McDowell and Radha Mitchell. This movie centers on Heather Mason and her father who have been on the run from dangerous forces she does not know well. On the eve of her 18th birthday, Heather discovers that she is not who she think she is. This leads her deeper into a satanic world that threatens to trap her forever. The movie is written and directed by Michael J. Bassett.

For November we recommend Jack and Diane (November 2nd, 2012) and The App Killer (November 23rd, 2012).

World War Z is among the late releases of 2012 movies with the release date scheduled first to be on December 21 2012. Now World War Z release date was moved to 21 June 2013 (USA). This is an action-drama-horror movie, which is about a United Nations' representative who writes a report on the great zombie war and also interviews survivors in the wake of world war Z. The movie is directed by Marc Forster and stars Brad Pitt, Matthew Fox and David Morse.

      liked the 2010 nightmare on elm street looking forward to nightmare 2 but does anyone else feel there is something missing like ROBERT ENGLAND he scared the crap out of me when i was a kid jackie earl did a great job but robert will always be Freddy to me

      The Darkest Hour is also a great movie, but the reason why isn't in this list is because The Darkest Hour release date is December 2011 and not 2012 :).

      This is a good list, but the one I've been waiting for is The Darkest Hour. The previews I've seen look crazy. Not sure what it's all about, but it looks pretty cool.
