Danny Boyle said in an interview that the story will probably be set in Russia after nothing has been left of the UK. Alvarez will use the script that he co-wrote with Rodolfo Sayagues, with the help of Diablo Cody. Production of the film which is produced by Bruce Campbell, Robert Tapert and Sam Raimi will begin early in 2012.

I Frankenstein is based on Kevin Grevioux’s graphic novel which is a modern adaptation of the classic creature in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein’s Monster. Grevioux is famous for his Underworld series which were also adapted into film. The movie features the Creature’s wandering and rather violent encounters with other famous characters such as the Invisible Man, the Hunchback of Notre Dame and Dracula. The main character is played by Aaron Eckhart and the movie will be directed by Patrick Tatopoulos (I Robot, Underworld, I am Legend). The film will be produced by Chris Patton and Robert Sanchez.
