List of the Best Movies Ever Existed

Best Movies Ever Existed?

This is my list of the Best Movies Ever Existed. After watching hundreds of thousands of movies, I finally made this list showing to you with my honest reviews. If you like movies just as I do, please read on.

Shawshank Redemption
Shawshank Redemption

The Shawshank Redemption (1994)

The Shawshank Redemption (1994)

This movie is the one I don't want to talk much about. Haven't You Seen it Yet??? Just do it right now! I just want you to see my review about this movie after you have seen it at least once.

  • If you had a wish, just stick to it, thinking about it every day, every minute, then it'll not be that far away from you.
  • Some extraordinary people achieved unimaginable things because they have an unusual mind, thought. They don't waste time doing meaningless stuff. They are destined to be great, because they believe that God Created them for a reason —— to make a difference.
  • I like Andy, probably we share almost the same character. I'd like to use my mind, my curiosity to solve problems. That feels great. Thanks, Andy! You made me more confident.I hope this movie could help you with a better understand of the world.
  • It is because of this movie, I become obsessed in finance and accounting, which later become one of my most important studies. I fall in love with numbers because of Andy.
  • If You'd also like to know about finance and accounting, please also visit

  1. Stock Investing 101

  2. Let's Go For a European Trip

  3. Financial Freedom Way

I'd also wanna recommend Prison Break to you if that TV Series Title is not familiar to you.

Michael Scofield is as good as Andy. You'd better watch this TV Series if you really like the movie mentioned above.

the Matrix
the Matrix

the Matrix (1999)

Best Sci-Fi Movie Ever!

  • Don't try to bend the spoon. That's impossible. Try to the truth. The spoon doesn't exist.

When we have big trouble that we can't solve, why don't we try another way of thinking? What if we can see the truth, the inner structure? Can we solve the problem then?Definitely.

  • In this movie's world, we humans are under control of the matrix (a real world simulating system). This looks very like the movie series the Terminator. Humans are/will be controlled by machines/computers.
  • What is Real? How to define it?

We normally hold a believe that Seeing is Believing. While sometimes what you've seen can be faked, forged, simulated. In the movie the Matrix, even the five basic senses can be deceived by the Matrix system.

The Silence of the Lambs
The Silence of the Lambs

The Silence of the Lambs (1991)

Hannibal (2001)

Red Dragon (2002)

  • Hold your breath watching this movie series
  • Will Dr. Hannibal come back?

the Machinist
the Machinist

El maquinista / the Machinist (2004)

This is the performance that Christian Bale presents. He must have paid a good price for losing most of his weight just for starring in this movie.

  • Do you know what the greatest pain is like?
  • What could make a healthy man become that skinny?
  • What makes Reznik sleepless for a year?
  • Reznik has paid enough he deserve.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)

Very interesting story. A baby grows younger and younger from a dying old man.

  • How it feels if you grow younger and younger?
  • How it feels if your lover and children get older while you grow younger?
  • See Brad Pitt's best performance ever.

Identity (2003)

This is the most amazing movie I've ever seen. You'll have to watch it till the very end to see what is going on.

  • The truth hurts.
  • You might think you are a good man. In fact, you could own multiple souls.

Silent Hill
Silent Hill

Silent Hill (2006)

This horror movie is based on a very popular video game series Silent Hill by Konami.

  • This is a horror movie about curse. While it's not a common one you can imagine.
  • All the monsters you encountered are inspired by man's fear.
  • If you really like this kinda movie, I strongly suggest you play the Video Games. Till now Konami has published 5 volumes of Silent Hill.

Cast Away
Cast Away

Cast Away (2000)

  • A movie tougher than Robinson Crusoe 's adventures.
  • Always Have Faith.
  • Tom Hanks' best performance in this movie.

Phone Booth
Phone Booth

Phone Booth (2002)

  • A movie 99% of which is about a phone booth.
  • Will you unveal all the secrets to others if you are under a threat?
  • Is it so hard to tell the truth?

The Pursuit of Happyness
The Pursuit of Happyness

The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)

  • The best performance that Will Smith has presented.
  • For the sake of love, we can do anything to protect what we treasured.
  • Have faith in life, God will bless you.

The Truman Show
The Truman Show

The Truman Show (1998)

  • Do you have anything that you can never overcome?
  • Do you trust your own feelings?
  • You might get confused at first. As the movie goes, you'll learn something weird, uncover the truth before the movie reveals it.

Terminator (1984)

the Final Destination
the Final Destination

Final Destination (2000)

Final Destination 2 (2003)

Final Destination 3 (2006)

Final Destination 4 (2009)

  • Does Man Die following the DeathGod's list? Now it has been proven.
  • Can we escape from DeathGod's Order?
  • Is there anywhere that's out of DeathGod's Reach?

John Q
John Q

John Q (2002)

  • If you get laid and your son needs a big sum of money to get a heart transplant. What would you do?
  • What are we supposed to do when the only way left is to break the law?

Zodiac (2007)

  • A series Killer is at large. We know who he is, while we don't have any evidence. What are we supposed to do?
  • It is based on a true story.

Isn't any of the war movies of vietnam war or WW2, is considered a best movie. What about tigerland, rescuedawn, we were soldiers, and private Ryan ? Not a single war movie either from WW2 or VW has been included. You still have time.

      To Mike

Like it or not, I don't care. I write things I like ,not for anyone to grade. You have seen people who favored my list and my taste. Anyway, thanks for your advice. I'll work on my writing. By the way, I am a newspaper editor in China, not for English content.

I think that you should learn English before having the gall to write something that people can read in the language. Oh, and your list sucks. Your "reasons" essentially amount to "I like it because it's nice," and if I was a film teacher, I'd laugh at that and give it an F. This has got to be one of the most pitiful things I've ever read. Seriously.

Great list, wARtist! Especially with Shawshank Redemption, Matrix, Silence of the Lambs, The Machinist (underrated movie!). I would add some like Blade Runner, Mulholland Drive, and others, but no one will ever agree on a movie list. I like just about all your picks, well done.

I dont know if you're allowed to change the title, but perhaps "favorite" would be better than "best" because Terminator 2 is not one of the best movies of all-time...IMHO, it's not even the best in the series...

There's a lot of good movies in here, no doubt. But calling them the greatest of all time, is a bit of a stretch. But as they say, to each his own...good list, though.

To Don Seesareu, it's great that you share your list with us. It seems that most of yours are not my favorite. People have quite different taste.

To Everyman, God Father's great. But Starwars, not to my taste, altho I like Natalie Portman.
