Mike Tyson's Nintendo Video Game Commercial

Mike Tyson was in a Nintendo Commercial to promote his video game called Mike Tyson's Punch Out. There is a video showing this commercial at the bottom of the page. This commercial aired in 1987 and it shows Tyson hitting the heavy bag and also playing his new boxing video game. Tyson captivated audiences with his rare blend of speed and knockout power. Tyson also did an advertisement for Diet Pepsi. After he was convicted of rape, the commercials were no longer played on the air and the name of a video game was completely changed. I feel like Mike Tyson was wrongfully charged and his punishment didn't fit the crime.

In the game itself, your character fights through a series of hilarious boxers and in the end has a showdown with Kid Dynamite himself.

* Note: Mike Tyson had legal problems and in 1992 Nintendo pulled the commercial and the video game off the market. The game was changed from Mike Tyson's Punch Out to just Punch Out and the game was simply, re-released.
