Nintendo Featured Iron Mike Tyson in Ads
Mike Tyson's Nintendo Video Game Commercial
Mike Tyson was in a Nintendo Commercial to promote his video game called Mike Tyson's Punch Out. There is a video showing this commercial at the bottom of the page. This commercial aired in 1987 and it shows Tyson hitting the heavy bag and also playing his new boxing video game. Tyson captivated audiences with his rare blend of speed and knockout power. Tyson also did an advertisement for Diet Pepsi. After he was convicted of rape, the commercials were no longer played on the air and the name of a video game was completely changed. I feel like Mike Tyson was wrongfully charged and his punishment didn't fit the crime.
In the game itself, your character fights through a series of hilarious boxers and in the end has a showdown with Kid Dynamite himself.
* Note: Mike Tyson had legal problems and in 1992 Nintendo pulled the commercial and the video game off the market. The game was changed from Mike Tyson's Punch Out to just Punch Out and the game was simply, re-released.
Sugar Ray Leonard 7-Up Commercial
Sugar Ray Leonard made a commercial for the 7Up soft drink with his son, Ray Jr. by his side.The ad ran in 1981 and it shows Leonard and his son doing a boxing workout and then drinking 7Up beverages. Check out the video for the commercial below. Leonard was the darling of America after winning the Gold medal in the 1976 Olympics. Sugar Ray Leonard was in a lot of commercials. Sugar Ray Leonard was commentator on HBO after he retired from boxing.
Leonard also did commentary for HBO from ringside, both as an active and then, a retired boxer.

In this commercial, Evander Holyfield is shown beating up sparring partners in the boxing ring. This would really want to make you be a sparring partner of Holyfield's. In the end, of the commercial Holyfield gives the guys Diet Cokes, and they put them against their heads to act as an ice pack. This classic advertisement aired in 1994. A video showing this advertisement, is at the bottom of this article. Check it out. The Real Deal, Evander Holyfield, has also done commercials for Burger King, Hardees and a slew of others. Evander Holyfield was born in Atmore, Alabama but, he grew up in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Real Deal has guest appeared on several shows including Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and The George Carlin Show in the 1990s.

Manny Pacquiao's Hennessy Commercial
Manny Pacquiao filmed a commercial for the alcohol company Hennessy. At the end, of the ad, the screen shows a statement from Pacman that states, " Fighting the fights that really matter. That's my wild rabbit". This was a mysterious commercial. This video first aired in 2012. Manny also has a contract with Nike which produces the MP (Pacquiao) Nike shoes and other merchandise such, as shirts and hats. Pacquiao also did a commercial for pistachios. Manny Pacquiao's nickname is Pacman.

Floyd Mayweather's AT&T Commercial
Money Mayweather and another guy are trying to log onto the internet and the commercial brags that even speed master Mayweather can not log on quicker than the man with AT&T next to him. They both have lap tops but, Pretty Boy Floyd oddly had on boxing gloves. The man without the gloves of course was able to log onto the internet faster, and he looks over to Mayweather and says, there are some things that you are not faster at. Mayweather has also advertised for the Reebok shoe company. Mayweather has won boxing championships in five weight classes.
George Foreman's Meineke Muffler Commercial
George Foreman has a huge smile splashed across his face, as he tells potential customers to get their mufflers and tail pipes at Meineke. Foreman starred in this commercial in 1993. George Foreman is known as The Meineke Man. Foreman is the ultimate pitchman. He advertised for Meineke, Kentucky Fried Chicken and his grilling machine The George Foreman Grill, which gave him $100 million to use his namesake for life on the indoor grills.
George Foreman now runs a Texas based boxing promotion company with his sons so, he will be back in the limelight again soon.

Muhammad Ali D-Con Roach Traps
Muhammad Ali did a D-Con roach traps commercial in 1980. It shows him laying the traps near dishes in the kitchen and saying that they do not contain poison. His name and picture were actually on the box that the roach traps were sold in. He was also, in a Superman comic book where, he actually beats Superman. In 2011, Muhammed Ali was in a Pizza Hut commercial.
