Beyonce is back! New joint 'Bow Down/I Been On' is causing all kinds of noise among fans and critics. On the first side of this track Bey jumps right into it, beasting with confidence. She makes it quite clear that she is her own woman behind the Carter name. Second part of the track comes chopped and screwed, a little more riske but Bey becoming even more ferocious with the vocals.
Lot of people throwing shade, probably not surprising it's mostly women. I have read comments stating she is too cocky, confident, conceited. Too much profanity and her voice sounds funny. Even crazier comments claim it's degrading to women. Huh?
I will admit, I was thinking it was going to be something wild like Ring the Alarm or Countdown, took a long while for those to become one of my likes. Nor am I a big fan of the chopped and screwed style but.....
I'm loving this! Maybe it's a Virgo thing, big, big egos but we do well to keep it tamed until we choose to unleash. And the cursing, I mean, who doesn't, she is an adult. Sounds to me like Bey is territorial of her position, at best she is claiming it. Far as degrading goes, all women should be that confident with anything she does. There was a quick adjustment to the different style for me but, I was more into what was being said and I'm feeling that! Change the words up, make it applicable to me and boom, Bow Down Bitches! Lol...
