Lindsey Stirling - "Beyond the Veil"
A Truly Gifted DIY Artist - She Does it Her Way!
The video has gone viral with over a million views and by the time you are reading this, who knows! What a fantastic find I want to share with you. Lindsey Stirling. Such a talent! She really has invented and reinvented herself if you ask me and proves you can be anything you want to be! Especially today with all the venues we have, such as YouTube for one thing! I will share the video now going viral so you will not be the one left out. Come take a look at this 28-year-old "star" and see how a dream can come true.
She says that after “praying, trying and praying again” she met filmmaker and YouTube director Devin Graham, manager Ryan Wyler, and producer Marco G, who helped her get going through YouTube! She says looking back it is very humbling at the sacrifices and chances these people took on her. Personally, just one look at her performance shows me a talent just a bit different than we are used to seeing and isn’t that great?
She is a twenty-eight-year-old real go-getting talent! She has her own YouTube channel, Lindseystomp and this video seems to be getting some real stand up and notice so I present her to you today! The song is one of 12 on her newest album, Shatter Me. Here it is to hear for free!
"You know, if you really want to fiddle the old-time way, you've got to learn the dance. The contra-dances, hoedowns. It's all in the rhythm of the bow. The great North Carolina fiddle player Tommy Jarrell said, 'If a feller can't bow, he'll never make a fiddler. He might make a violin player, but he'll never make no fiddler."— Alison Krauss
Original Song - Went Viral
"Music is a great gift, one of the greatest anybody can have, because it's something nobody can take away from you. Money can't buy it. It's a very precious thing, I think, very precious."— Ernie Carpenter (1909 - 1997)

What Child is This - So Beautiful!
Never Too Soon
At five, being influenced by her father’s classical music records, Lindsey took on the violin. After taking lessons up to the age sixteen she joined a rock band in her high school with four friends called "Stomp on Melvin". (I'd like to hear that story! Even her new name is a cut of this one.)
Writing music and playing her violin led to winning the state title of Junior Miss in Arizona and to receive the Spirit Award in America’s Junior Miss Finals. She was also a member of another band for about a year. Life goes on and we can all imagine the excitement and downfalls trying to get started especially with something so different! How many obstacles this girl must have overcome!
She says she likes to create music that’s really energetic and uplifting and wants people to feel empowered by it and feel magical! Well, I think her music indeed does that. I love it and if anyone had ever told me I would get so much from the music of a violin. Well, I just would not have believed it! I have been watching her videos off and on for a while now and they are so great! It is not just the song or talent in music but it is acting; drawing you in with the sound while entertaining you with the action videos! Some I have watched many times they were so much fun and that never happens to me with just a music video! She entertains in so many ways and you can see her talent all through her work. It is just amazing the talent and energy this woman has! Please find out for yourself.
As another part of a dream, Lindsey learned to dance and was in the final three of the big contest she entered with a $50,000 prize and one of the judges vowing she was the best! Dance is a part of her entertainment that you will love and I just cannot say enough good things about her but since I know the web is engulfed with her talent and all about her right now I cannot give you everything about her but it is out there to find!
She is so sweet too, I have to say, making cute and ugly faces that you will just fall in love with, all through her videos. I think every age loves Lindsey or will as they get to know her and she is such an inspiration to young people! Her talent is limitless and she has just kept on going when people told her she couldn't. She has made a career for herself and sold herself to the public, who love her. Any young person could use her determination as a guide if they have a talent, as she has turned one talent now that she started with into so many. As she says, “The same reasons I was told I wouldn’t succeed are the reasons people travel hundreds of miles to see me now, because it’s different, because it’s something you haven’t seen before…”
Lindsey is also a Christian girl into a few good works such as helping children appreciate music and water conservation to name a couple. Where does she find the time? Ah, to be twenty-eight again...it has been a couple of years.
What Lindsey Has Been Up To
Born in Santa Ana, California, Lindsey grew up in Arizona and began studying classical violin at the age of five. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she studied therapeutic recreation at Brigham Young University.
