Bollywood Hindi Movie Releases in August 2012
It is Ramadan from middle of July 2012 till middle of August 2012. During the Ramadan month, less numbers of movies are released. Despite this July 2012 can be considered as good month for the Bollywood cinema. July 2011 gave some of the best movies of 2011 – including “Singham”. This year, it Rohit Shetty’s “Bol Bachchan” and Saif Ali Khan’s production “Cocktail”. Both the movie did good Box Office business. The movies are expected to cross 100-crore club.
Movie goers are desperately waiting for August 2012. The most anticipated movie of the year “Ek Tha Tiger” is schedule to release for Eid in middle of August 2012. “Jism 2” is schedule for first week August release.

“Jism 2” is releasing on 3 August 2012. The movie’s highest buzz was due to inclusion of Sunny Leone. Sunny was signed inside the Big Boss house, when she was inmate in Big Boss Season 5 recently. Mahesh Bhat walked inside the Big Boss house to sign her for the movie “Jism 2”.
“Jism 2” is sequal of “Jism” produced by Pooja Bhat with story by her father Mahesh Bhat. The movie was blockbuster hit, starring John Abraham and Bipasha Basu in the lead.
Story of “Jism 2” is by Mahesh Bhatt. This time, Pooja Bhatt is directing the movie as well, besides producing it. Apart from Sunny Leone, the cast include Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh. The movie is thriller love story. More than anything else, it is test for Sunny Leone, if she can fit into traditional heroines of Indian cinema .
Gangs Of Wasseypur 2
Gangs Of Wasseypur 1 had decent opening the previous month. Produced and Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the movie’s part 2 is releasing on 8 August 2012.
Part 1 was applauded both by general audience and critics. The part 1 has done good business at the box office. It has to be seen if the part 2 can repeat the success of part 1.
The movie is based on the release life sequences of Wasseypur town in erstwhile Bihar, now in Jharkhand.
Ek Tha Tiger
When Tiger arrive, everyone has to run. “Ek Tha Tiger” is one such film that its release during Eid has sent jitters to other movie releases. Most producers are shying away from releasing their movie along “Ek Tha Tiger”. The year’s most awaited movie “Ek Tha Tiger” is produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films’ banner. The movie is romantic thriller, directed by Kabir Khan.
Salman Khan has given series of blockbusters – WANTED in 2009, DABANGG in 2010, READY and BODYGUARD in 2011. Bodyguard is the highest grossing Hindi movie ever after “3 Idots”.
The stacks for “Ek Tha Tiger” are very high and everyone expects this movie will gross over Rs.200 crore in domestic collections in the initial weekend itself. The movie is releasing on 15 August – a very long holiday season in India. 15 August is Independence Day, followed by regular Friday, then the week end, which again is followed by Ramzan Eid.
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are back as pair after four years. We have to wait and watch if Salman Khan can deliver another blockbuster hit.

Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi
“Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi” will see the most unlikely pair of Boman Irani as Farhad and Farah Khan as Shirin.
Farah Khan the choreographer turn director is now turned as an actor. The movie is light hearted fun movie, produced by Sunil A Lulla and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The rom-com is releasing on 24 August 2012.
The movie “Joker” is keenly awaited because of its lead pair Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha. Akshay and Sonakshi gave a blockbuster movie “Rowdy Rathore” last month. Their chemistry was liked by the audiences. The movie is produced by Akshay Kumar, Farah Khan and her husband Shirish Kunder. The movie is about a small town “Paglapur” (Mad Village), which didn’t find a place in either of maps of India and Pakistan in 1947.
The movie is slotted to release on 31 August.
