Bollywood Movies 2016 that were quite Fast and Furious in Making the directors Bankrupt
While Bollywood movie such as Sultan, Airlift, Fan, Wazir, Udta Punjab, Neerja, Madaari and Kapoor and Sons proved to be a blockbuster hits on the box office and earned lots of positive reviews from the film critics, there were some other movies which failed to collect even 50% of the positive reviews and proved to be the greatest failure on box office of the year 2016. Let us have a look on them:
1. Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3
Star Cast: Tusshar Kapoor, Aftab Shivdasani, Mandana Karimi
Plot/Summary: Jobless Kanhaiya, along with his friend Rocky, goes to Thailand in search of work, where he begins his career by working in porn movies. The twist comes when Kanhaiya falls in love with an Indian girl. When she calls her father to meet him, Kanhaiya arranges a fake family, who is a team of porn stars, to meet his father. Things get funnier, when Kanhaiya's real parents come to Thailand.
Reviews: The movie is highly criticized by viewers because of poor acting and screenplay as well as it does not have any good jokes or even a piece of comedy. According to film critics, it is the most hated movie of all time; it is disgusting and a big no to watch as it is a total waste of time and money.
Star Cast: Tusshar Kapoor, Vir Das, Sunny Leone
Plot/Summary: Twin sisters, Lily and Laila both role played by Sunny Leone, run a sex addiction clinic, in which the sex addicts are given treatment. On the other hand, two womanizing spoilt brats, Sunny and Aditya fall in love with these girls. But when Lily is about to get married with someone else, story starts to take lots of twists and funny chaos in their lives.
Reviews: According to film critics, none of the characters in the movie, except Vir Das, have enough potential to make the movie a blockbuster hit. It is full of idiotic performance, poor acting, and also there is nothing good about the story including the songs as well.
3. Teraa Surroor
Star Cast: Himesh Reshammiya, Farah Karimaee, Naseeruddin Shah
Plot/Summary: Raghu is a gangster whose girlfriend, Tara Wadia, is a singer and lives with her mother. When caught with drugs in Dublin, she gets detained and call Raghu for help. Raghu tries to help her by finding a stranger, Anirudh Brahman, who asked her to come to Ireland through Facebook.
Reviews: Though the movie was able to gross on the box office more than its budget mainly because of its songs but it fails to deliver a strong story line and good acting. The movie is filled with lots of dull moments and gaps as well as none of the characters bring energy to any scene.
4. Sanam Re
Star Cast: Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam, Urvashi Rautela
Plot/Summary: Akash is a six year old child who lives with his parents and grandfather. His grandfather predicts that he will fall in love with a girl who lives 500 steps away from their photo studio ans he actually finds a girl, Shruti and start loving her. But, in the urge to make his career, he leaves Shruti behind and moves to the city for higher studies, where he is also able to land a job for himself. Unfortunately, after a while his boss dismisses him from the job and tells him that he can get his job back if he is able to secure a big contract for the company. Thus, he goes to Canada where he again meets Shruti.
Reviews: The movie became quite famous, before it was even released, because of its super hit songs, but it failed to impress the audience with it romantic story. According to film critics, there was no striking chemistry between the two protagonists, but there were some people who gave some positive reviews to the movie.
5. One Night Stand
Star Cast: Sunny Leone, Tanuj Virwani, Madhuurima
Plot/Summary: The story starts with a big event where the two protagonists of the movie, Urvil and Celina, meet and later, happen to have a memorable night. Next day, they follow their normal daily routine, but Urvil starts to yearn for Celina and her memories haunt him. The movie depicts about the today's hypocritical world and the type of relationships that exist in present society.
Reviews: The story of the movie sounds great and makes us think that it is worthy to watch, but in reality it has got nothing to deliver. From acting to the direction of the movie, everything is poorly done. It is completely hopeless and not recommended to anyone.
6. Great Grand Masti
Star Cast: Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani
Plot/Summary: It is third part of the Masti Film series after Masti and Grand Masti. The three friends, Amar, Meet and Prem, who are always in the mood of fun, get married at the starting of the movie. Then, the story takes a leap of six years, after which the friends meet a girl named Ragini, who initially looks like a girl of their dreams but later on, turns into the biggest nightmare.
Reviews: The movie received mixed reviews. Acting of three male stars is really impressive, but the overall performance of the movie is not up to the mark and fails to steal the hearts of people. The movie was expected to deliver better than its hit prequels, but with little comedy and weak script, it does not come up to scratch.
