Actors that look alike
Kevin Spacey/Marton Csokas
Have you seen the trailer for the new movie coming up in theaters The Equalizer, starring Denzel Washington? Do you remember the scene where the main antagonist tells to Washington's character "When you look at me, what do you see?"? Weren't you happy to discover that the actor was Kevin Spacey? Except that, it isn't! It's an actor from New Zealand with a Hungarian name - Marton Csokas. That same look that Spacey gave us in the movie 21 playing a university professor who on weekends takes his little crew of best students to Vegas to count the cards playing blackjack and bring millions back home, the look that we saw in Casino Jack, where Spacey portrays a once most powerful superlobbyist Jack Abramoff, or those same eyes that we remember from American Beauty, we now see again in Csokas' eyes playing alongside Denzel. You might have seen Csokas in Lord of the Rings or Noah, but never did he make so much resemblance to Kevin Spacey as he did in the upcoming movie - The Equalizer.
Ethan Hawke/Kevin Dillon
Have you ever seen Mark Wahlberg's TV show Entourage? Have you wondered what Ethan Hawke (who we've mentioned in a previous blog) is doing in the show, playing Johnny Drama, with all those up and coming actors trying to make a name for themselves? Well, that wasn't Ethan, ladies and gentlemen. That was Kevin Dillon. What?! Yes, neither did Hawke have a role in Entourage nor did Dillon in the brand new movie out in the theaters called Boyhood, nor are they one same person. They are two different actors with incredibly similar facial features and great acting skills.
Rachel McAdams/Norah Jones
Even though Norah Jones is more known in the world of music than film, she will be mentioned in this blog as she bears a lot of resemblance to the Canadian actress Rachel McAdams. Norah produced beautiful songs like Come Away with Me, Don't Know Why and Turn Me On, and her strong but calming voice is recognizable worldwide. Rachel on the other hand is known for her movies Midnight in Paris and Wedding Crashers (both with Owen Wilson), State of Play (with Russell Crowe), The Vow (with Channing Tatum) and To the Wonder (with Ben Affleck).
Adam Sandler/Jason Biggs
Surely you remember the American Pie, or at least the first three parts. Wasn't Adam Sandler just great in it? No, he wasn't, because he never played in American Pie. That was Jason Biggs, with a sock on his thing. But don't worry, it's a common mistake to mix these two comedian actors. We might explain this due to the fact that we haven't been seeing Biggs as much as Sandler on the big screens. While we remember Biggs only as a star of American Pie, Sandler is remembered by several comedy movies: You Don't Mess with the Zohan, Funny People, Grown Ups, 50 First Dates and Blended (both with Drew Barrymore), Anger Management (with Jack Nicholson), Just Go With It (with Jennifer Aniston) and other.
Seth and Jonah
Who's better looking?
Seth Rogen/Jonah Hill
Wait a minute. Rogen and Hill? Seth and Jonah? How could you mix these two up, you might say. I know, I have no problem with differentiating between Rogen and Hill either and I'm a great fan of both. However, there are moments, or were moments, where they looked alike, especially at the beginning of their carriers as Hollywood stars. And we've seen them together in numerous movies, there's no way of not knowing which one is which. From The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Funny People, to Superbad, Pineapple Express and This Is The End, they've been playing alongside each other which resulted in a collective laughter of the masses. This comparison could be accepted as kind of a joke among their truest fans. And to prove to you that it actually is and that it wasn't made up by me either, I'll give you a hint. Watch 22 Jump Street. Until the end.
