Celebrity Apprentice -- Hair Show Task

Updated on May 4, 2011

The Timing Of It All Is So Ironic

I guess everyone must know of the feud going on between Trump and Obama. So when The Apprentice was interrupted for a speech by Obama just as we were going to learn who got the boot, you had to think how ironic the timing was.

The task this week was to do a hair show. I'm as clueless as the men about what a hair show is. Never heard of such a thing in my life. Before the task even began, sparks were flying on the women's team. Nene thought Starr deciding Nene should be project manager was Starr's way of setting her up for elimination. And she said it loud and proud what she thought of Starr. Basically she's a backstabber who will do anything to win and Hope is her puppet.

After the scene Nene caused, the women find it hard to put it aside and get down to business. But they do. Hope, however, isn't giving the task her all, after being called a puppet.

On the men's team, Lil Jon is project manager. The other John comes up with an idea. How about they ask former ASAP member Nikki Taylor to be in their hair show, to help them score one against her former team, and she's up for it.

Meatloaf isn't pleased that Lil Jon doesn't want to do a rehearsal for the hair show, and because of that the show has a rough beginning. Nene has Hope being one of the hair models in the women's hair show and Nene thinks she looks like an idiot. The women's theme is Shake Your Beauty while the men concentrate on America.

While the two teams are slugging it out, Latoya has come to plead her case with The Donald. As everyone knows Latoya never just goes away. She feels the reason she was fired was bogus and I have to say I agree with her. Starr should have gotten the boot. It's especially bogus when The Donald could have used the same criteria for firing Gary Busey but he forced the men to keep dealing with him and got rid of a stronger player, Mark McGrath, instead. Latoya wants to come back and work on the men's team to show what she can do. The Donald says he'll think about it.

In the boardroom, Nene is still going off on Starr and Hope and makes it clear if she loses, their coming back in the boardroom with her to decide who gets fired. The women lose, and she does just that. Before that, Latoya comes strutting in and the Donald declares since the men lost Jose, their getting Latoya, but he'll never do something like this, again. Starr is so not pleased to see Latoya back.

I read the next day that Hope got fired, based on the same criteria as why Latoya got fired. She's a weak player.

Latoya was not a good player on the women's team. So it remains to be seen if the men have gotten stuck with another lame duck or if she'll help the men to continue their winning streak.
