Margaret Minnicks posts many articles online about the royal family, the Bible, celebrities, movies, television, foods, books, and diabetes.

Those who have been waiting for the second season of Celebrity Big Brother don't have to wait much longer. Also known as Big Brother: Celebrity Edition, the CBS reality show will premiere on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 8 p.m.

The time in the house during the winter season will be much shorter than the stay during the four-month summer season. Even so, the air time will still be thirteen episodes that will take place over three fast weeks and will end on February 13, 2019. Some episodes will air for one hour and others will air for two hours.

The format will be the same as the first season of the celebrity version with a group of HouseGuests living together in the Big Brother house and followed by 94 cameras with over 113 microphones all around the premise.

Julie Chen Moonves, who has been the host of Big Brother since the very first season, will return. Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan are the executive producers again.

"Celebrity Big Brother" Season 2 airs from January 21, 2019 to February 13, 2019.

The Celebrity Official Cast

There had been rumors before, but CBS has revealed the official list. The short season will be a very impressive one with a diverse group of people with different careers and ages.

More than likely, fans of the reality show will recognize some of the familiar faces who are competing for the grand prize of $250,000 which is half the amount given to the winner of the longer summer seasons.

The celebrities who are unknown at the beginning of the season will surely be known by the time the reality show ends after thirteen episodes.

Some of the celebrities on the official list are the same ones on the rumored list. CBS reported that the list changed because at the last minute because of unequal pay concerns.

The official cast includes a good mixture of interesting people that viewers have never seen in the same setting before. So, who are those celebrities?

The official cast list includes the following celebrities:

  • Actor Jonathan Bennett
  • Former NFL running back Ricky Williams
  • Olympian bobsledder Lolo Jones
  • Former teen idol Joey Lawrence
  • Lindsay Lohan's mother and manager Dina Lohan
  • Singer and reality star Tamar Braxton
  • Singer and reality star Kandi Burruss
  • Comedian Tom Green
  • Former WWE wrestler and Total Divas star Natalie Eva Marie
  • Olympian swimmer Ryan Lochte

Official Information Came From CBS

Many rumors went out before the official list was confirmed by CBS in an ad on Sunday, January 13. Fans were waiting and watching for the confirmation. Now they see that the rumored list was very different from CBS's official list.

The celebrities will be together for three weeks. During that time they will get to know one another as viewers will get to see how they will interact with one another.

Viewers will soon be given 24/7 access to see what the cast will be doing around the clock.

Anthony Scaramucci is the second celebrity to go from the White House to the Big Brother house. The former director of communication follows former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman who was a contestant on the first season of Celebrity Big Brother. She revealed some inside information about her time in the White House. After leaving the Big Brother house, Omarosa wrote the tell-all book Unhinged: An Insider's Account of the Trump White House. The book is about her experience in the White House where she went into more detail.

While it will be interesting to see how all the HouseGuests interact, people might tune in to see what Scaramucci will say about his time under President Donald Trump's leadership during his ten-day tenure.

After a promo aired last Sunday during playoff football coverage on CBS, Scaramucci was thought to be the reality show's big surprise. However, he was not in the White House long enough to give surprising details like Omarosa did.

Last Year's "Celebrity Big Brother"

In case you have forgotten, the first season of Celebrity Big Brother aired from February 7 to February 25, 2018.

The winner was Broadway actress Marissa Jaret Winokur and the runner-up was television host Ross Mathews. Mathews was also voted as the favorite HouseGuest.

Louise, it still comes on here in the US. There is a regular series during the summer and a shorter celebrity series during the winter. I usually watch both series.

I watched the UK version of Big Brother when it first started years ago, but stopped watching it after a while. Most of the people I didn't know who they were anyway lol. They've stopped making it here now anyway. But it ran for several years.
